What is Vodafone's Misselling policy?

Posted from Facebook
So - a Vodafone UK sales advisor rang me yesterday afternoon and asked me how I was getting on with my HTC. After telling her I was unhappy with it, it had become slow and responsive and wasn't working properly she informed me that I would be able to upgrade to an iPhone 4 because of my loyalty. Result! After agreeing to it all and deciding my phone would be delivered the next day, and thinking about it for a few minutes I decided to ring Customer Service because it seemed a little odd. She hadn't upgraded my current contract at all. She had added another phone to my account - 2 phones, 2 contracts, 2 bills to pay. NOT HAPPY. Asked them to cancel the new contract and the delivery of the phone - then had 6 missed calls from said sales advisor (whose name was Nadia, just so you know) and got back to Mums to discover they'd called her and my phone would be delivered tomorrow. 30 minutes on the phone to Customer Services later, I'm told that they will have to phone me back today to cancel the contract, and I need to ring JUMP to upgrade my phone and they'll be able to sort that out for me. Called JUMP this morning and they can't do anything because I don't have an existing JUMP contract. I think they need to sort this out pretty quickly - Sales advisors mis-selling and Customer Service Agents giving out incorrect information? OFCOM would have a field day. Kind of picked the wrong person to do this to really, seeing as Compliance in Telesales is my job. I am ANGRY!

Re: What is Vodafone's Misselling policy?

Hi Katy

As danielp mentioned JUMP is a Phones4U service and as such there is nothing Vodafone can do to help here.

Your best option is to either post on the P4U forum or send them a formal complaint.

Hi KatyClement

Thank you for your post and a very warm welcome to the eForum.:smileyhappy:

I am sorry to see the frustration that this has caused.

As has been mentioned by our excellent community that JUMP is a Phones4U service, however I would like to take a look at your account to ensure all has been cancelled off correctly and to investigate if we have had any involvement at any point throughout this issue, this way we can then follow our proceedures and feed this back.

So we can discuss this further with you I have sent you a Private Message to follow and we will be in touch as soon as we can.

You can find your PM inbox here.

Many Thanks
