When does my contract end?

I know it's soon but I can't remember exactly when I got the phone contract out. It says on My Account that I am eligible for an upgrade on 30th April 2012. Is this when my contract ends as I then need to cancel it due to recent circumstances.
If anyone could help it would be appreciated as I cannot find anything on the Account page.

Sorry to hear you are thinking of cancelling..
The upgrade date on your account is 50 days before the end of your contract..

The quickest way to end your contract will be to give Customer Care a call and ask for your PAC code. Move your number out to PAYG any network and as soon as your number transfers, it will cancel the contract.
You still need to give 30 days notice which is chargeable.
You will receive one final bill after which time, you will be able to cancel your direct debit.

I wonder if I could piggy-back on this thread?
My 24 month contract comes to an end on June 2nd this year - and because of reception problems and there being no good offer on an Iphone 3GS - I have already got a new phone and contract with O2. I have informed CS of my desire to conclude the contract on the above date, (and have given just over 30 days notice) and requested a PAC - my question is, by using a PAC BEFORE the 2/6/2012 date will I incur EXTRA charges, I obviously understand that I have at least one more direct debit to go through. All I wanted to avoid was some penalty charge for using the PAC before the expiry of the contract date - if you see what I mean!!

@Meteosat, You can use your PAC as soon as you receive it - all you'll be charged for is line rental to the end of your commitment plus any outstanding call charges - you wouldn't be charged any extra for using your PAC now.

Thankyou to everyone for the helpful information.
Another question, how would I go about finding out how much I would be expected to pay if I did cancel my contract now? I pay £21 a month and seem to have 2 months left due to being able to upgrade my phone.
