You can keep Stop the clock as i'm off for the full Monty!

You refused to continue stop the clock on a new contract & phone.  I kept my old phone and stayed on a rolling contract with unlimited calling after 7 and all day Saturday and Sunday. This is more important to me than a fancy handset!

But guess what! I just found out T-Mobile have got something way better than stop the clock!! Unlimited everything and anytime!!!   They will give me an iphone with unlimited data!! You keep saying 1gb is all i need for my needs but I want unlimited exactly as T-Mobile offers and be able to Tether my laptop absolutely free!

You better hurry up and give me unlimited data without fair usage!!  I have given you 30 days notice....

6 year friendship will come to an end as my T-mobile Iphone will be with me Monday but i could always return it :smileywink:

The loss of the stop the clock service was a shame however tariffs now come with quite a few more minutes than they used to.

As for data usage you may be interested in this thread.

Do you remember the old days of Dial-up internet access? You'd better be ready to get used to waiting around again. According to Ofcom Everything Everywhere (the network tmobile and orange run on) has the slowest 3G speeds in the uk!

Sometimes whats on offer sounds good but a little digging soon shows why. Too good to be true... Only you can decide!

Re: You can keep Stop the clock as i'm off for the full Monty!

Hi tonmlaw,

I'm sorry to hear that you are looking to leave.

As Nabs mentions, many of the call time allowances are now much higher than they were before, so the removal of Stop The Clock, which has not been available on newer Price Plans now for some time, would have much less effect.

With regards to data, for the first three months we offer our Data Test Drive, so you would get completely unlimited data with no fair usage policy to enable you to judge whether the package you have is enough and additional packs available to boost that should you need to once the three months is over. We would not be able to offer unlimited usage beyond the Data Test Drive, though, as this is no longer something we provide.

Again, as Nabs suggests, it's always worth looking into any terms and conditions as with any provider "unlimited" may involve a fair usage policy, capping, throttling of speed or other such way of managing traffic to allow equal access to all users.

Vodafone, you just dont get what customers like me want from you....

So Vodaone will give me 3 months unlimited and then on the Forth month my data alllowance is back to 1Gb. You keep saying 1gb data is all i need so why not give me unlimted data all the time to prove your right as you always keep saying that i will never go over the 1gb allowance. Bet you cant answer that one :smileyfrustrated:

Re: You can keep Stop the clock as i'm off for the full Monty!

tonmlaw,

Unless you are tethering, streaming movies, music etc. 1GB of data should be more than enough.

Did you check the thread i linked above? TSD is a relativly heavy user of data and he didn't get anywhere near 1GB.

I though i used a lot of data until i actually looked into it turns out i was only using  600-700MB a month, well below the 1GB i was allowed.

Have you every monitored how much data you actually use? Remember Vodafone have a record of your data usage so they can easily lookup exactly how much you have usedand recommend a tariff that suites.

Easy to answer actually. If voda gave everyone unlimited internet then the speed would be slow for everyone which isnt fair and no doubt would cause network disruptions.

Quality over quantity, enjoy dial up :smileywink:

Hi tonmlaw

Thank you for your post.

I understand that you would like to have unlimited usage however at this time this is not possible.

The support given is excellent and the data we provide should be more than enough for the majority of customers for general usage, if it is not then we do have additional packages to suit customers needs.

Many Thanks

Still missing the point.  You say 1gb is all i need then give unlimted data.

My mate has 1gb data allowance on his iphone and he goes over it all the time.  Watch a few youtubes and watch your data go!

The netwok can cope its all about money.:smileysurprised:

Re: You can keep Stop the clock as i'm off for the full Monty!

It's nothing to do with money. It's balance and stability to keep everyone's speed fair. If you use more than 1gb then you have clearly too much time to burn, and a YouTube viddo isn't as large as you think so I very much doubt watching a few is gonna burn data. My plan is 500mb and I have never gone over it and I'd consider myself a heavy user. Use wifi at home and btopenzone to save data.

Do you not understand that T-Mobile offer so much because their network is below par. That's how they are in business by giving these deals. They are a revolving door company. In and out with No stability.

You must be therering or streaming a LOT of video.

In the last 4 days iu've used 60Mb of mobile data and 120MB of WIFI.

Do you not use the wifi on your phone at all?

Re: You can keep Stop the clock as i'm off for the full Monty!

I moved to Full Monty on Wednesday when my number ported over from Voda. In those 4 days, I have used 1.8GB of handset data and 3.5GB of tethered data. Yes, I've used a lot of streaming on my tethered connection and I have used Internet radio in the car, but that is what having an iPhone is all about - being able to use what you want, when you want and the plan suits me. I had 750MB on my Voda plan, boosted to 1.25GB with a booster and I had to be sooooo careful with what I did to stay within the allowance. TV Catchup, Sky Go and Tune In Radio are all no-no's on a restricted plan. My iPhone has been set free :smileyhappy: All fairness to Vodafone, I had no real cause for complaint and I'll be keeping my iPad and dongles with them however I got a discount on the Full Monty so I'd be daft to refuse.
