cooling off period questions

Hi,

I've just (yesterday) recieved my Galaxy S3 upgrade from VF, however, I'm not a fan, and the poor reception in the area where I work mean that I would like to enforce the cancellation option through the 7 day cooling off period... a couple of questions first ..

1, can I return in-store?

2,If not, who pays for the collection and courier service?

3, What then becomes of my contract with Vodafone? does it revert back to the original, agreement that I had pre-upgrade?

Re: cooling off period questions

I think the quickest way to resolve this is to phone customer services.  If you bought your phone online or on the phone it has to be returned via the courier.  If you bought it in a store you can only return it to the store.

I will assume you received it by courier.  In which case customer services can arrange for the courier to collect it and you don't pay for the return.

As for what happens to your tarrif I am afraid I cannot help you.  Do remember you have to return it within 7 days of receiving it.

Hope that helps in some way

Re: cooling off period questions

You have 7 days in which to inform a company where you have purchased over the internet that you have changed your mind.

Re: cooling off period questions

You need to call vodafone to tell them that you have changed your mind within the 7 day cooling off period, the phone must be returned in the original packaging. If you are exchanging for another handset a courier will be sent to pick up the original and deliver you the new one, this will all be done free of charge, if you are just returning the handset you will be sent a freepost returns bag which you can take to the post office , when the handset has been received by vodafone your plan with go back to whatever it was before the upgrade or in the case of a new connection the contract will cease.
