cost of cancelling

hi well after i think 15 yrs with you i think its time to leave and see if i get any offers from other suppliers and a signal .oh i tell lie i did get 1 offer but that cost me 300£ for nothing which you gracefully took from my account and it took me nearly half a year for you to accept was your fault.

over the years i have had problems with you and after a call yesterdaty which my address had'nt been changed after 3 calls and my dob is still wrong (i fell old but 83 and wrong dates) i was wondering how much it would cost me to leave ?

Re: cost of cancelling

Hiya, its pretty unusual for a company to take 18 months to rectify a mistake, what type of mistake was it ?  Hopefully you will stay, if you speak generally about an issue they can be discussed on the forum, in terms of leaving it costs your months left x your line rental excluding VAT then deduct 2%, it would be sad if someone after 15yrs felt they wished to leave for something that might be able to be put right, and I would also check the signal of others before jumping, some can be a little patch in areas, but hopefully the forum can help you

Re: cost of cancelling

hi, i got cold call offering free payg (no cost to me payg) sim for family took 3 cost me 20£ per month.called many times got same answer "we'll sort that for you " and then next month charged and no record of previous calls. got the money back well had to buy phone as " we dont really do refunds so best to get new fone as it will cost you the refund to leave voda "

so it'll cost me roughly 250 £ too leave.nice earner. o2 seems like a go for others in my area even inside the walk in fridge in the warehouse where i work o2 gets signal.but im luckie to get signal 300 yrds out of it.

guess i'll lump it then leave

Re: cost of cancelling

Hiya, like I said you need to keep it really general, but I am sure a Moderator can look at this for you.  If someone mis-advised you about additional lines then I am sure it can be resolved, I would suggest also backing this up by showing that you never used them.  I am presuming you didn't as if they were PAYG then you would have needed to top them up.  With this to support you, I am sure it can be resolved.

They can probably also trace who sold them, and perhaps help them with how they explain additional lines as whatever has happened it sounds like it has been nowhere clear enough

What I do know is that if you get a refund then they "do refunds" so whoever has told you that has been incorrect, refunds can be made back to cards and bank a/c's

Good luck,

If you do want PAYG sims, you can get them FOC from a VF store or via this link

Hi Vodamerl,

To be honest we would need to take a look at your account to see exactly what has happened, unfortunately i don't have access to our email system to send you an email right now however if you pop your query into the contact us form and use the subject line "EFT165 your eforum query" it will get routed to the eforum team directly, once we have this from you we will then be able to investigate this and discuss it on a one to one basis in more detail. :smileyhappy:
