"we'll text you if you get close to your data limit."

First of all I know that I should take some responsibility for keeping an eye on my data usage, but because of the message in the title of this post, I thought I'd be able browse the internet without having to worry until I received a text warning me that I'm near my limit.

I never received a text.

I logged in to MyAccount today to pay my previous months bill and find that I have 0mb left. No mention of how much extra data has been used though.

So what I'd like to know is;

Where was my warning?

How do I know how extra data I've used?

How much will I be charged for the extra data?

Thanks,

Richard.

Re: "we'll text you if you get close to your data limit."

Something I've just noticed is that all 750mb price plans seem to have been withdrawn from sale and only 1gb or 500mb is now offered?

I know it's just bad luck on my part that two months after signing up for a 750mb contract vodafone are offering 1gb for the same price, but is there any way I can transfer onto that?

As long as your base cost isn't lowered by taking this tariff then i dont see why not. If its the same price then that should be fine. Call customer service on 191 or 08700700191 and enquire about changing the tariff over.

Re: "we'll text you if you get close to your data limit."

I may be wrong, but i thought that the data usage sms was only applicable whilst roaming outside of the UK.

If you are calling Vodafone then i'm sure they will answer this for you.

The only other thing i can think of would be if you are a newish customer and have the 3 mth unlimited data offer. this would then show as 0Mb allowance as there is no limit. That is what happens with unlimited sms allowances.
