Hi all,

Im another person who has had a mortage application fail due to the poor processes that vodafone have, i cancelled my contract back in feb/march 2016 and gave notice and then stopped the direct debit as was told i had no further payments to go out of my account, i remember in the call i asked multiple times to confirm this as i am very paranoid about it and they assured me no further payment would be taken and now looking at my credit score i see i have a missed payment for april/may/june/july of 2016 and then after that to now its showing ive made a monthly payment? please can i have the missed payment defaults removed from credit score and an explanation as to why its showing that i am still making payments to yourselves please.

David

Hi @Cascauk

I appreciate and understand how damaging a default and or marker can be ,and the difficulty in having one removed from a Credit File.

One of the Vodafone Team here I'm sure will catch up with your thread and arrange to look into this for you.

Part of the generic advice given when cancelling an account is to leave the Direct Debit in place at least until a £0.00 bill and Sorry Your Leaving Letter has been received which confirms full account cancellation and no Debits or Credits are due. So the advice given to cancel your DD before this has been received isn't the best imo.

This is a help thread i put together > Default-on-your-Credit-File-And-How-to-add-a-Notice-of-Correction.
