No tethering/Mobile Hotspot on Huawei P9

Hi,

 

I'm trying to use the hotspot feature on my new Huawei P9.  It's configured OK, and I'm able to connect both my laptop and iPad to the hotspot without an issue, but there's no data transfer between them and the phone.  There's also no DNS resolution, and attempting to ping external sites by IP also failed, although ping between the device and the phone responds OK.  I have a solid 4G connection.

 

Any ideas?

Hello @wjoyce

 

If all the settings / permissions look correct then you may need to have a quick word with Customer services on 191 or use Live Chat to have the account provisioned for tethering. 

 

You could try your sim card in another phone too if you have one to help eliminate the phone or sim card which maybe at issue.
