Phoning European number from the UK

Since it appears that I can now use my UK calls allowance to telephone a number anywhere in the European region while I'm roaming there (is this correct?), is it also true that when home in the UK I can telephone any European number from my UK allowance?   E.g. while at home in the UK, can I phone someone in France, or Germany using my UK allowance and not get charged for making an international call?

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

The new roaming regulations only apply when you're doing exactly that, roaming. So using your phone overseas.

International calls made from the UK are still charged as international calls.

But... whilst the standard rates are still pretty expensive, there are lots of different options to get the costs down.

You can pay £3 for 100 international minutes, £7.50 for 500 minutes.

There's also Vodafone Internatioanal where you pay £5 then get lower rates but the two deals above trump that,

Ok, many thanks for that explanation.
