Call/Sound Problem

[ Edited ]

Hi All,

I am loving my new S" except for one rather annoying problem.

Each time I make a call the others person says I sound garbled and then when they can hear me both mine and the other persons voice echo a lot

Any thoughts or ideas on why this might be? any ideas on a possible fix?

JUst to add I have read some of the other threads on this issue and it doesn't seem to have been addressed by Samsung, I Have no secondary case on my phone by the way so it is not a "case" issue

Thanks in advance.

Take care,

Keith

Re: Call/Sound Problem

Hi buddy,

The phone is out of the 7 day period.

However that is immaterial anyway as this period does not affect a persons statuary rights with regard to defective devices, it is important not to confuse your statutory rights as a consumer with the 7 day cooling off period offered by mobile phone companies.

I can't believe that this seems to be a problem with the S2 and yet Samsung appear to have done nothing about it and are still selling defective phones

Oh welcome to vodafone were they mean jack

All they will offer you is a so called refurbed phone

This is not a problem with the S2 but there seems to be a phew affected with in Vodafone

If Vodafone drag there heals I would send it to Samsung to sort as there service centre has mixed reports

You have a full two year  Guarantee with Samsung, and to be onest its the only one worth any thing.

If the phone will cost to much to repair they swop it for a brand new phone

But if you like a challange by all means take Vodafone on

Re: Call/Sound Problem

I suppose this would be a good time to mention this is not a Vodafone issued S2

My phone is a SIM free model purchased from and online phone dealer

Bearing the above in mind, and what I have read elsewhere, it is indeed a problem with the S2 as a whole and is not just an isolated Vodafone problem

Re: Call/Sound Problem

Well I have booked my S2 into the Samsung service centre for repair and will get it off to them first thing Monday

This is not something I expected to be doing after only having the phone for 2 weeks mind :smileysad:

Re: Call/Sound Problem

It's to do with the noise cancelling mic on the phone. Are you able to take it to a nearby Samsung Repair Centre? I took mine in and they repaired it straight away for me.

One quick fix for now (but not a practical one!!) is to disable the mic - but you have to do it each time you are on a call. On call screen it is one of the options I believe.

Re: Call/Sound Problem

Hi Buddy,

Yup sending it to Samsung for repair seemed the best thing to do to get it fixed/resolved.

I am back to using a "normal" mobile at the mo and boy do I miss my S2 already! LOL
