Can't connect to Keis

Hi all.
I have tried to connect to Keis since I did a factory reset of my phone (can't even remember why I did this now, think it was due to now being able to update the firmware).
Now it won't connect to Keis at all. I have uninstalled Keis and reinstalled twice now and it still doesn't find my phone.
Can anyone shed light on this.
I don't want to factory reset my phone again as I would need to add ALL my contacts back in manually as they haven't been saved by Keis ![]()
Please can anyone help?

Hi angief
If you go into settings > Wireless and networks > USB > and select Kies as Connection type.
Now go to Settings > Applications > Developement > select USB debugging.
Open Kies on your PC.
Now connect your Phone to the PC, you should see the Samsung USB driver install and Kies will detect your phone.
You can now untick USB debugging on your phone.
(your menu layout may be slightly different to mine but it's roughly the same places)

Kies is cr*p don't bother using it, just plug your USB cable into your computer and open it in Windows Explorer then you can drag/drop files in.
Or, you can connect to Kies via wifi if you prefer....

I have had this problem too.
The only way I found to rectify it was to remove Kies completely and then load the latest version from the Samsung Kies website.
It worked for me, it may work for you.
Sometimes the simple answer is overlooked because it's technology that's complicated!
