Up until the other day (when My vodafone updated) I have been using Samsung Kies every day to sync my phone and PC, but following the latest update to My Vodafone my Kies will not connect - gives me the "Your devie is not supported under Kies 2.0"
Can anyone help with this?
I am using WIn 7, I have the .net framework, WM 12 etc
Solved! See solution

It looks like this is working now!
Thanks so much for that - I tried uninstalling and reinstalling before, but didn't use CCleaner - looks like that is the important step I missed...
Shame the Kies software seems so buggy..

CCleaner is a good program to have as it keeps your Registry clean
What has happend is
When you uninstall the program it carn't remove the registry entries this can be down to the security of the compuiter mainly as it needs to be done as a administrator
some programs will remove there entrise on a restart
When repairing computers for people a simple thing like cleaning the registry can bring computers back to life

Hi, been a lurker for awhile but haven't ever eeded to register and post until now.
I have a similar problem with my Mac.
I'm on OSX 10.6.8 Snow Leopard, using Kies for Mac 22.214.171.12423_9 (the latest one I believe).
My SGS2 came with 2.3.5 so never needed to update it.
Baseband version: I9100BUK1
Kernel version: 126.96.36.199-I9100BUKJ3-CL647431root@DELL155#2
Build number: GINGERBREAD.BUKJ3
Tbh I haven't ever managed to connect to Kies, it always sticks onto "connecting" but never actually connects. I can connect it in USB mass storage no problem though.
Can anyone help? Is there a fix for Mac?

Mac is a tricy one but on your phone anable debugging
then plug in your phone
let the mac sort the drivers out
then uplug the phone
Turn debugging off, then turn the ohone off wait for it to vibrat onece then turn the phone back on
put the phone to samsung kies
Open kies up
then plug in the phone
Now the mack then should open a file view screen just like a usb drive
If this does not happen then there is a problem with the usb driver
you need to view your device manager and it should show in the list
with macs its a pain but if it shows unistall the phone wait then unplug the phone an plug it back in
Kies is still being polished for macs
the main thing is that the mac sees the phone in Kies mode if it doesn't kies will not see it
so that needs sorting first

Lots of Mac Users are turning to Heimdall to flash new Roms to their Galaxy Phones.
I use Heimdall on my Linux Ubuntu Laptop and it works perfectly. You simply download the Firmware from sammobile.com and then extract it.
I'm not a Mac User so I can't help you with the install I'm afraid.

Thanks Soupdragon again, I'll have a look into Heimdall but doesn't using that void the warranty? I would rather not use third party software tbh =/
Just tried reinstalling the Kies for Mac, and still no luck. Disappointing considering ICS is out right now..
