Hi francot
You cannot delete the App, AP Mobile. This is indeed integrated into the system.
What you can do however is control whether it receives Data or Not.
I am doing this from memory so forgive me if I get things slightly wrong.
Tap on the AP Mobile Widget on your Home screen, for example the weather info widget.
You now have on your screen the weather forecast.
Tap on Menu > Settings > and set Auto refresh to None.
You may have to do this for the News section as well...?
As I said this is from Memory so I may have missed something but setting Refresh to None is what you need to do!
Hope this helps!

Found the issue with the AP Mobile app which is installed on my phone.
I had all roaming data switched off, packet data switched off and background data also switch off.
So when I had the packet data on the internet data was eating away. I checked on other forums and found Onavo app.
When installed and running with packet data active Onavo was showing the AP Mobile was being used in the background and racking up megabyte like no tomorrow.
Phone Samsungs after 25 mins on the phone they said this AP Mobile was a 3 party app!! They talk me thourhg add the app on the main screen then go into the setting and set to never check
With the Onavo app I managed to set the AP Mobile app t pony use the WI-FI!
Vodafone over to you to tell me how to delete all these unwanted apps in my phone permanently I’m fed up of having apps on my phone that are installed by default which I cannot delete.
Your Vodafone 360 is being retired end of the year, still got a stupid icon on there for it.
VODAFONE – I would like you lot to explain and fix the above problem as soon as possible

Hi francot,
The AP Mobile app isn't something that we've added to the phone, as far as I'm aware it's included on all versions of the Galaxy S2 (a quick search shows it's on some other UK network's customisations too). As such, there's nothing further I can advise here as you've already stopped the app from using your mobile internet connection.
Kind Regards,
George.

I found this on XDA
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1
The app seams to be on all Network phones
O2 users have that same problem, And its also on the Galaxy Note
With Networks putting Limits on data a app on the phone that you have no control over that is draining your 3G then that not on
I can confirm tho that its not on the XEU Firmware .... Intreatsing
Could this be a Dirty trick that all Networks are useing so we use up all our data .... I hope not
So with out de Branding the only option to remove this is to root the device, then you go into All applications and you get the option to remove this then if you do not want to stay rooted just remove the root
This app is Yeat another Junkware that all networks put on and it needs stamping out

Below is the respone sfrom Samsung ![]()
Please quote your customer reference number when contacting Samsung.
Thank you for contacting Samsung.
In response to your query, please be advised that it could be simply a setting on your phone that we can change to stop this issue from occuring. On the handset, go to
Applications->Settings->Application->Samsung Apps->within this setting
change this to either Wifi Only or Never, this will ensure that the
handset is only updating itself when on a Wifi Connection or Never if
you so choose.
If you require any further assistance, please contact Samsung again and
we will be more than happy to help.

You can do this to most apps you don't want to launch on default and best to not use them at all.

This will only stop the App on a Temp basis and has been tried if you turn the phone off and back on the app starts again and is also in the start up
With our rooting the only option is to freeze the app but that is another app that is needed.
But this only effects Network Firmware and not Unbranded phones

I had a lengthy call with Vodafone about this app, who denied it was them. So I spoke to Samsung, who said it wasn't them or Google and it was added by Vodafone. It is not part of Samsungs stock apps, I have this in an email.
I agree that this app seems to be a way for the networks to bleed the data usage. Mine peaks when it's on mobile data, when on wi-fi it barley uses anything. As Vodafone to be in such denial about this, I am raising the matter with Trading standards and Watchdog. I suggest you all email Watchdog, and this will get airtime.
Just to clarify the issue; this app was default installed by Vodafone, even when not in use (on any screen) and with it set to not refresh, it still downloads data. It seems to use more data when connected to mobile data, as opposed to wi-fi.
So come on Vodafone, what do you have to say about this blatent use of an app that cannot be uninstalled, cannot be stopped and uses a ridiculous amount of data? More lies no doubt.
It really doesn't seem like you're trying to rip your customers of at all, not at all...

How much data does this app use anyway? When I got my S2 in December I heard about this problem and I went to the app, hit settings and changed refresh to none, as suggested above, I also unticked the 'background data' setting in accounts and sync so that apps cannot send and receive at any time and I've not noticed any issues with excessive usage.
I have wifi at home but when I am at work on 3G and haven't used my phone for 8 hours the 3G Watchdog counter doesn't move a jot (belive me, when I got the phone I was paranoid about data usage!). I use my 3G quite a lot when commuting to and from work and am out and about and rarely exceed 50-60% of my 500MB allowance.
