Hi keith7937,
I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with your phone. Checking around, this symbol you're getting usually occurs when you're using accessories such as chargers that aren't official Samsung products designed for use with the device. Have you used any other Micro USB chargers, cables or car chargers with the device at all? I'd always recommend using the one included with the phone originally or certified by the manufacturer as it will also affect the way your phone battery holds power between charges. ![]()
I understand you're frustrated with having to send it in for repair, however you'll be penalising yourself if you cancel your direct debit to run into arrears as this will adversely affect your credit file. Give the repair a go and if you are using certified accessories, the repair centre should be able to find out what the issue is. Please bear in mind though that your warranty will only cover you for a Samsung Galaxy S II so the only way of changing to another device would be with a separate purchase.
Cheers, Ben
