@TSD
Do you need to put the phone on "USB DEBUGGING" mode before you connect it to Odin or that's not needed anymore?

Hi Sakan,

USB Debugging is not needed to flash with Odin.

Re: How To: Roll Back to 2.3.3

Hi lock471,

Yes this is the Basic flashing method. I would only recommend using Official Firmware, as your phone has a Counter that logs when Custom Firmware has been applied.

Official Samsung or Vodafone Firmware does not affect the counter.

Re: How To: Roll Back to 2.3.3

Sounds like the file is not right that you have downloaded

That is the only way 2.3.5 would stay on

How fast does it do it ?

If its very fast then somthing is wroung and you need to check the file you have down loaded

Re: How To: Roll Back to 2.3.3

Thats the problem the files are corrupt

Use SamMoble for Roms

But if your de branding you need a three file the right one and re-partition ticked

But the rom you have down loaded delete it

I would use the link soupdragon put on and go back to 2.3.3 Vodafone just to get used to what happens

Re: How To: Roll Back to 2.3.3

in the search Type GT-I9100 that will list all the firmware

You will have to register

A warning tho

You do this at your own risk

It will Void your Vodafone warrenty if its not there roms, But Not your Samsung at all the roms on there are Samsung Roms if they Have the Kies Logo Next to them

Re: How To: Roll Back to 2.3.3

@mogue81

N-dj has given you great advice there!

If you follow My guide exactly then Kies will be able to update your Phone to Official Unbranded (XEU)

firmware.

Good luck and let us know how you get on.

Re: How To: Roll Back to 2.3.3

The Current Version of XEU phones is 2.3.4 to be updated soon to 2.3.6

Vodafone are using 2.3.5

2.3.3 is what All S2 phones started on

Re: How To: Roll Back to 2.3.3

Greetings,

I recently upgraded to the 2.3.5 over the airwaves, and now the damn phone is stuck constantly rebooting. I cant do anything with it because I dont even get enough time to go into my apps drawer or anything before it restarts.

I had it running fine for two days on the update, but I wanted to use bluetooth yesterday and bam, it started rebooting constantly.

My question, can I use odin to flash this rom on the phone to revert back to stock? I cant call any numbers, so I wouldn't be able to follow your instructions exactly. Is it important to dial those numbers??

Please let me know, having a dead phone sucks.

Re: How To: Roll Back to 2.3.3

Thanks for the reply!

But, Like stated, I cant call any numbers. When the original poster states that dialing the number does a "hard reset" of the phone, is this the same as a "factory reset?" Im assuming so, but I just want to make sure. The terms might be different, but the idea is the same. :smileyhappy: Im from the US and rooting and stuff over there we call it a factory reset.

If this is the same, then I will lose everything on my phone then, correct? That sucks. I was hoping this would just act like an update, not a complete wipe of the system...

Let me know asap so I can put my phone under the knife!! :smileyhappy:
