Hi. I am reading on here that people have already upgraded to ICS. Despite constantly plugging in to Kies it still says the latest firmware is installed. Should I be doing something else to get the upgrade?

When Kies says you are on the current firmware, what firmware version is it showing?

Hi Steve. Keis says firmware is PDA:JVG/PHONE:JV4/CSC:JV5 (VOD). Phone says 2.3.6

This doesn't look like UK firmware to me, I have tried looking through the country codes list but haven't been able to find the firmware version you have quoted, where did the handset come from ?

Phone came from Vodafone on an upgrade 14 months ago, It has never been flashed and has only been connected to Kies.

Is your Phone a Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000 ?

Because that is GT-I9000 Firmware...! and is the current VOD Firmware for your Phone!

Hi. Yes I have the S GT-I9000. Any idea when (or if) the ICS will come available for my phone

You won't be getting ICS on the GT-I9000 I'm afraid.

You could install a Launcher like GO Launcher and apply an ICS theme. Just search the Play Store.
