Phone Crashing All the Time

Getting somewhat sick of this and was directed here from Twitter to see whats up. My phone has randomly just shut itself off on about 7 or 8 occasions now, the screens blank, nothing works, even pressing the on/off button does nothing. If I take the battery out it restarts and gets back to normal but thats no use at all, especially with the piece of crap Samnsung gave us for a battery cover.

Its about 4 months since my phones screen died and was replaced FOC and was reset. I then upgraded to ICS recently and this crashing/freezing thing seems to have started around the same time. Any ideas?

Re: Phone Crashing All the Time

Perform a factory data reset. Back up your contacts first as you will loose these. Don't save any apps as this is probably whats causing it to crash. If this doesn't work then back up any pictures/ music etc then do a full format on the sd card followed by another factory data reset. A full format will delete everything on your phone and usually cures any problems.
