Phone driving me crazy and due - Early upgrade?

I currently have the iphone 3gs and to be honest its driving me crazy. Nice phones to begin with but a little limited once you have had one for a while.

As I currently develop at work android apps and the S2 is quite well reviewed I think Im gonna go for it at some point

Im actually due for an upgrade on saturday (my full contract expiry being 2nd feb 2012) but I wanted to ask a few questions. Im currently paying a massive £46 a month for a contract I hardly touch, so I am after knocking this down a little and would like an 18 month contract. Preferably if I am signing up for another 18 month I would like the phone in return for that contract. So what I want to know is can you offer something decent or am I better to wait until feb and look at my options at that time?

Re: Phone driving me crazy and due - Early upgrade?

soniceffect,

The iPhone does get rather boring after a while, lack of options to customise it is the problem, At least with Android you can change thigns to keep it fresh.

The deals avaiable at the end of your contract will always be better than those available as an early upgrade. You would need to speak to someone at Vodafone to see what deals are available to you just now .

Head over here and follow the instructions. One of the Web team will get back to you as soon as they can. They are a very busy team so may take a little while to get back to you but they will!

Hello soniceffect

Thanks for your post! I’d love to take a look and see what we offer you as an upgrade, the Samsung Galaxy S II certainly is an amazing phone! I’ve sent you an email so please bob me a reply back or you can also follow the link that Nabs has posted.

Nabs, fantastic advice there, much appreciated. :smileyhappy:

Thanks

Re: Phone driving me crazy and due - Early upgrade?

Only yesterday i upgraded with Vodafone to the Galaxy SII, lovely phone indeed!

I did it in store as the upgrade site is awful!

The guy in the store did spend a bit of time trying to sort out a deal for me, not sure how many, if any, strings he had to pull but i got the following deal;

Samsung Galaxy SII - Free of charge, 300mins, unlimited texts, 500MB internet, a further 500MB bolt on (to give 1GB), some MMS (can't remember how many) for £31 a month.  That's on a 24 month contract.

That is a reasonable deal in my eyes, nothing amazing, but i'm happy with it as it suits my needs.

I must say I do hate the 24 month deals that have come to be the norm, but of course these phones are expensive and the operators need to get their money back somehow.

Anyway, it gives you an idea of what sort of tariff can be done, that doesn't appear to be on the website.  Hope it helps just a little :smileyhappy:

Deal sound good but one thing MMS are not in any contract and never have been so you might need to check up on that sound a bit like sales pitch banter
