Samsung Galaxy S2 can't send/recieve MMS

Bought the handset a few months ago, never been able to do it. Haven't messed around with it at all so all the settings are default. When I send a MMS is just says 'Sending...' and when I've been sent one 'Recieving...' I'm a complete noob when it comes to mobiles so I have no idea where to start, had a look around on the forum but nobody's case is quite similar. Any help? :smileyvery-happy:

Re: Samsung Galaxy S2 can't send/recieve MMS

Hi,

When it comes to setting up internet and picture messaging there are two things to check, the handset and the SIM card itself.

Handset - you need to make sure you have the correct internet and mms settings installed on the phone - there doesn't appear to be a list of them on the Galaxy S II help centre page but I'd imagine the original Galaxy will be similar, here

SIM Card - the SIM itself needs to be provisioned by customer services to support GPRS (internet) and MMS. Also worth checking there are no bars on the phone.

Combined that should set you up for picture messaging. If you've got an option to pop into a nearby retail store I'd perhaps recommend this as they'll be able to firstly check the SIM and then if you need the settings they can enter them manually for you

MMS is not part of your standard monthly contract. It has to be enabled on your account.

The Moderators can Action this for you.

Perhaps post a request within this thread for a moderator to look into your account.
