Re: Upgrade due - Galaxy S2

Just spoke to a lady in Online Orders team. She went away for 20 mins and came back and said: 'Good news, he was just processing your order as I called. Bad news, there will be no tracking number until tomorrow morning! Not sure about this one, but has been confirmed by two people. May just call them again to annoy them! lol

Parcel number: PBOQ020xxxxxxx Service: Express 24 Status: Accepted Last tracked at: London North West Depot Expected delivery date: 19-05-2011 I've still had no email or txt from VF but it looks like those of lucky enough to have tracking numbers might even get something tomorrow, lets hope its an SG2 :-)

Re: Upgrade due - Galaxy S2

I'm wondering why I even bothered to pre-order, all of this mess with stock today, and I just checked the online store to see the phone available on the same contract I chose, but £99 for the phone vs the £129 I had to pay. Shouldn't people who pre-order get a better deal!?

I've been a bit annoyed at all this for a while now, starting with the fact my deal is pretty poor compared to other peoples, but now this....Yes it's only £30, but that's not the point.

Re: Upgrade due - Galaxy S2

Ok guys, I thought I would annonce this, I spoke to a person in retentions and he said to me that people who ordered online will get the phone first instead of people who ordered over the phone as There is two warehouses, online warehouse and another warehouse.

He mentioned that the online warehouse had the stock and the another warehouse hasn't received any stock.

Re: Upgrade due - Galaxy S2

Just given them a call and after she checked with warehouse told me that they are out of stock but probably getting some more tomorrow.

I think they must have some sort of random answer generator for these phonecalls.

Ho Hum.

Re: Upgrade due - Galaxy S2

@bebuuk

I preordered online and have heard nothing whereas other people who have ordered later than me have been given hope of delivery tomorrow.

There is, I suspect, no unifying logic to this and certainly not by what you were told that web orders had priority.

I look forward to hearing of someone who has actually received their phone.

Re: Upgrade due - Galaxy S2

Haha,

Just phoned cancellations, said not happy about my order, some are saying no stock, others getting tracking numbers etc etc

Very nice lady said let me see what i can do for you sir. Put me on hold, came back a little while later and said she had just spoken to dispatch man and was going to put me through to him. He was very nice and told me yes they certainly do have stock and he allocated me one there and then and said he thought he should be able to get it out tonight with the courier and I should expect it by Friday or Saturday because of my geographical location(Shetland Isles).

So now gone from Mr Angry to Mr Grinning.

I suggest you keep at it until you get a person that is willing to assist you. Be firm But be Polite. It works wonders!!

Signed

Re: Upgrade due - Galaxy S2

All

After reading your posts, I gave CS another call and simply said I'd like to know why customers who ordered after me were going to receive their phones before me (given I was told no definite dates for delivery this morning). The friend chap looked up my order and confirmed it is on its way to the store (in Central London) and should be be available for pick-up tomorrow. He also gave me a Parcelforce tracking number (starts PBOQ...).

My pre-order was placed online on 7 May.

I would have been none-the-wiser had I not read your posts and made the second call to CS, so thanks everyone and I advise you to do the same if you haven't already. Will let you know when the handset is actually available for collection.

Re: Upgrade due - Galaxy S2

@rcf0

I too think preordering was a mistake. If I were you I would write a complaint to Vodafone setting out what you have in your post. It seems a clear case that they should offer you £30 plus a little extra by way of apology for this.

By accident my cursor went over my identity in the left hand column and there flashed up info that showed how many hours I have been on this forum in the alst two weeks (since I joined). Quite embrassing. Then I looked at some others who had posted and saw they had mostly clocked up many hours. This does not include the time spent on the phone to CS. It is really bad. I know Vodafone's customers could have been stoic and not wasted their time on this forum but waited patiently, but we could all have spent a lot less time on here if Vodafone had been clear and consistent or instead of this, and better, just up to speed in getting this phone to customers quickly.

I was ok and patienty wating till I read this thread lol

Now, It's not so much that im mad I aint got my shiney new phone winging its way to my door, It's I feel like im having the (removed - Profanity) took out of me, and the constant lies and rubbish you get told by customer services just to get you off the phone is mind blowing.

Look VF, If you aint got the phones just say so!, If you have tell us if were on the list to get them dispatched? today tomorrow etc

Its not guess work, VF have the numbers, how many they expect to receive each day, and how many orders they have to fulfill........ (removed - Profanity) easy as that!!

Re: Upgrade due - Galaxy S2

sdml I didn't recieve a text or email, I had to call VF and told them I wanted to speak to the online warehouse department. They put me through and thats where I was informed is has been dispatched and he gave me my tracking number, I'd advise you to the same.

Re: Upgrade due - Galaxy S2

I agree with Zaeon and legalegs. Its definitely worth persevering and asking for an explantion of how tracking numbers are being given out. If i hadn't i wouldn't have my number now.

@Julian62 Mine is pretty much the same now but without the expected date of delivery

Hey Lee,

Re: Upgrade due - Galaxy S2

jus71n - you have a horrible attitude. If the staff of these forums had information for you, you'd have it. They don't, so rather than getting you riled up by saying "sorry we have no information at present", they're choosing to stay silent and will update you if they get any more info.

Just be patient.

Re: Upgrade due - Galaxy S2

Lee,

Can you please explain authoritatively what is going on?

It cannot be right that I should be ringing CS and complaining angrily to get my phone delivered and that if I do not others who do will jump past me in the queue. That however seems to be the collective conclusion of the customers on this forum.
