If it is actually a genuine deal for a Galaxy S2 on the Vodafone network, I will be VERY surprised indeed if the Web Relations Team can't offer you something equally as good.

The majority of customers whom they contact  all seem to be more than happy with the deal they receive... I am not going to say that they have a 100% success rate, as there will always be someone, who no one can ever satisfy!

Only knew thsi forum existed due to a link form anopther forum i use a lot.

I do believe I am due an early, online upgrade sometime in October and was seriously considering thsi phone.  Is the phone that we get the 16 or 32 GB version?

My contract expires on 07.11.11 - I have been shopping around - and I can hang on until then if needs be - however - I am looking for a 12 month deal with Vodafone on the same tarif I am currently on (give or take) - with the same discounts and additions.

Deal or no Deal?

I appreciate that the costs will come down anyway when the i-phone 5 launches in October.

Like what I have seen so far in respect of happy customer feedback.

I was looking at these deals:

Both 12 month contracts

e2sace.com    Talk Mobile  galaxy s2 99 pounds for the phone, thirty pounds / month for 400 minutes, 1GB data and 1,000 texts

and

mobiles.co.uk   Talk Mobile smart plan 400   galaxy s2 99 pounds for the phone, thirty pounds / month for 400 minutes, 1GB data and 1,000 texts

The best that Vodafone could offer when they called me earlier today on a 12 month contract is:

160 pounds for the phone and 37 pounds / month.

From reading everyone's happy feedback I had expexted better.

What deals are others getting?

I wonder if someone could get in touch with me. I am looking to upgrade to a Galaxy S2. I've seen it on the o2 website for £27/month and no upfront fee for 300 mins, unlimited texts and 500mb a month. Can vodafone match that or at least come close? Phoned up and was quoted £36 a month plus an upfront payment which is quite a bit more over a 24 month contract.
