So it seems that even preorders are not being sent out in the order in which they were made but that if you ring up CS and complain enough you will get your phone sent out whereas those who do not still wait. This is not just unfair. It is chaotic. And it invites people waiting for a phone to clog the CS lines and to show how irate they are to get jumped up the queue.
This results in a worse work experience for CS employees, a worse experience (by reason of longer waits) for other customers calling CS, a higher staff requirement for CS that Vodafone has to fund and resentment amongst those who still wait. This is of course not mention the cost of those who just get fed up with it all and leave for another network.

I preordered two weeks ago online, and then canceled a few days later. Now I'm just going to sit back and watch what happens.
The most important thing is how the phone stands up in comparison to the reviews of the phone posted on youtube. If it's laggy I'm staying well away from the vodafone branded version. If I can't use one of the samsung or android native apps I'll stay away from it.

today ive had a phone call to say i will get it on friday, an email to say its out of stock they dont know when, and an email to say it will be dispatched today and i will get it tomorrow and will be reciving a confirmation email shortly....not holding my breath

Not an issue I have had to face yet, but in the light of the experience of Tommyshooter and others being told different things: 'it will be delivered' 'it won't be delivered'. How do you know when to believe it will come? This is important if you have to rearrange your day to be available at a single location all day to take delivery.
I suppose you can only make such arrangements with certainty once it is out of Vodafone's control and you can see it in the system of their delivery agent. Not much notice to make necessary arrangements to be available for delivery.

I just called to check on my order, pre-ordered on 4th may. and was told that my phone had been allocated and would be with me tomorrow.
i asked for a tracking number, but couldnt give me one. not expecting to recieve it tomorrow

Well i have just been told that mine will be getting sent on either Friday or Monday as the warehouse that deals with phones ordered through the web team have not yet had any stock yet but he believes other warehouses have already received some stock!! WTF!!

Just spoke to a member of the forum team, His pc says Vodafone have "zero" sgs2's available for allocation? but more stock coming in daily? he also assured me that orders would be allocated a handset based on date order placed, so pre orders would be sent 1st
WTF is going on @ vodafone, begining to think I should of just cancelled my contract and got 1 last week from o2 or phones4u.
The lack of any consistant information regarding all this from an international company is just plain incompetent.
Ever wondered what vodafone really think of their loyal customers, I guess right now WERE ALL FINDING OUT!!

Thought I'd give em a ring and got told my order was accepted but then fobbed off with the no stock excue ![]()
Sucks when i know people who have walked into the 3 shop and picked one up there and then! And got a better deal!

Strange when VF send a phone out you get it the very next day. we know the phone is available so what gives? The other forum MODS have jumped overboard and left TOM alone to send out speal.

@ToucheClart - I pre-ordered on 7 May and have not yet had funds debit my account. When speaking to CS earlier, they were unclear as to when I would be debited but assumed it would be once the handset had been distributed

Hey am new here and I ordered my Galaxy S II on 5th of May. Got told I would get it on the 16th. I NEVER!!!. I have not received an email or text. Since am overdue should I and all the 1 here who ordered it when it was on the upgrade page not get something for all the hassle. Like a accessories pack or 1st month half price

well well well. This just keeps getting better and better. Called VF JUST now to confirm on the delivery because I had not received the dispatch sms but the advisor told me they have it in stock and the delivery WILL be tomorrow. As soon as I hung up I got a text message from VF CS confirming that though the handset has not been despatched YET, the handset will be delivered to me tomorrow.Dont know what to believe but I must say the customer service is getting better and better by the call ![]()

The Parcelforce tracking number I was given didn't work on the Track & Trace so I began to think I'd been fobbed off.
Just tried again and it now shows as an Express 24 delivery so I'm getting hopeful![]()
I've not had any emails of txts from VF however so I wouldn't rely on these as being a good indicator of how your order is being progressed.
