Dear all,
Please I need some help I bought my phone around 1 month ago and its gingerbread.jpkj2 , android version 2.3.5 baseband version I9100xxKI4 , when I tried to upgrade from the phone it self it said no update available.
When I tried Kies it said:
This is the latest firmware
Current Firmware Version: PDA:KJ2 / PHON:KI4 / CSC:KJ1 ( KSA )
Latest Firmware Version: PDA:KJ2 / PHON:KI4 / CSC:KJ1 ( KSA )
And When I click on “Tools” > “Firmware Upgrade and Initialization” it says “GT-I9100 does not support initialization”
I live in Egypt but I got the phone from KSA. how can I upgrade to ICS now ? I need help with that please.
I think its Unlocked too because KSA doesn’t have Vodafone and my SP is Vodafone.
Please I Need help with this matter as I dont know what to do anymore.
Thanks,
Best Regards,
Mohamed Selim.

Hi,
the SW versions are different by market/country so what may be relevant here in UK may not be helpful...Vodafone Egypt have a similar forum CLICK HERE where you should be able to get an answer more relevant to your situation

Alternatively you could flash either a VOD or stock ICS onto the phone...
follow the instructions below (the links don't work any more), and just download the software and firmware from sammobile.com

Sometimes the simple answer is overlooked because it's technology that's complicated!
