Vodafone sort yourselves out - this is getting out of hand

I've read numerous posts by people with the following firmware, all of whom can't update via Kies and have no OTA update available either.
Samsung Galaxy SII, Android Version 2.3.5, Baseband I9100BUKI1
Kernel 2.6.35.7-I900BUKJ3-CL647431root@DELL155 #2, Build GINGERBREAD.BUKJ3
Most of the responses are suggestions to reinstall Kies, the drivers, be patient as the servers are busy - or install via Odin (I don't believe I should have to resort to that)
There's clearly a problem with the OTA update for users with the above firmware.
If there's a known problem, let us know so we can stop wasting our time.
Here's my details again......
I've not been able to update via Kies or OTA, despite trying numerous times every day.
It's a Vodafone UK contract S2, supplied direct by Vodafone.
The firmware is the BUKJ3 version and I did the 2.3.5 upgrade via Kies.
The phone has never had any custom firmware installed, never been unlocked or rooted.
This phone is as core Vodafone as you can get and yet I've been let down by Vodafone and Samsung.
I've reinstalled Kies and it's up to date, when I connect to Kies I get the message 'Your device does not support software upgrading via Kies'.
OTA never gets any response when serching for the update - and yes the push tick is ticked as well.
This is the first Android I haven't unlocked, rooted and installed cusom firmware on, but I'm fast thinking I should be heading that direction again.

I am having similar problems. In view of the number of theads I was hoping for a response from Vodafone by now.
I realise there is a lot of help on here, but shouldn't it be Vodafone's responsibility to address the matter.

I have just spent 45 mins on hold to Vodafone trying to get an answer to why the OTA hasn't been available. The guy on the phone I was speaking to was completely clueless as to what was going on. Surely for an update like this they should have at least a basic awareness of what's happening.
As previously said I have tried to manually receive the update OTA at various times of the day ranging from 5 am till midnight but to no avail. The line that servers are busy just doesn't seem right.
I think we would all appreciate some information from Vodafone as to what's been going on. If the update is further delayed at least tell us we don't have to waste anymore time on the phone to useless Vodafone employees or trying to manually update.

Thanks for the replies, it's becoming apparent that there is some sort of significant problem either with existing firmware on our phones or the OTA update - I'm sure Vodafone are aware of the problems but their silence isn't helping.
