As long as there MP3 yes it will wma do work but they don't show up in the player you need to play from your my folders
I would keep things tidy and put a Folder Caled Music or Folders for the tracks
It will sort its self out when you turn the phone on doing a Media scan
I do this when i have alot of files to put on
But there is no need to remove the card
Putting the phone in mass storage this works the same way

Then it sounds like there is a problem with the file
Are they files you have downloaded
Or have you done these your self
If the file is on the sd then it may not see it as a compatable file
Down load a app calle ES file explorer
This shows up all files and if you press and hold on the file it will ask you how to play if the stock one shows try playing it
Now do any other MP3 files play if they don't then it sounds like the MP3 codec has got corupted
The only fix is a Firmware reset

This is strange the S2 works the same way,
The sd card did this come out of your s?
moving the music should be straight forward in my files find the music press and hold on the file then press Move then pick your external sd, which should show up pic the eexternal sd and the folder in there and the phone should move the files over.
I take it you can see the external sd in the phone ???
Now ES file exploer can do this on mass by copy and paste or cut and paste and you can pick multiple files
i no this works as i have done a S2 for a Customer who wanted his Files from his ipod
If mp3 files were just put on the sd when you pick the external sd in the My files then they should show up
If you have them on your phone i would now be looking at
A . The sd card
B. The sd reader on the phone
Both would invole another sd being used its a shame you don't live near me as i like a challange and its much easier doing this infront of you then via on here lol
