Re: Attention Upgrades team

I confirmed with P4U & again with another Vodafone upgrades agent, that the agent I upgraded with, was in fact wrong, in that I could not keep my number when upgrading with Voda via P4U. I have cancelled my upgrade, and are now again out fo contract, regardless of the deal offered. If I am not told the truth after 7 years as a customer, then why bother?? I feel it was an attempt to stop me upgrading via P4U.

Re: Attention Upgrades team

Sorry you had a bad experience. It can't be good news for Vodafone if they disappoint their customers.

I had a problem with BT when they tried to charge me for calls to another country, that I never made! Them telling me that they will "let me off this time, but next time......" had me leave them and not return for over 10 years. :smileytongue:

All anyone wants is to feel they've been treated fairly.

As stated earlier, as far as I know, Vodafone weren't/aren't negotiating away from their publicised offers until launch day, so the fact that they were offering you a better deal seems to me that they were at least offering you a deal beyond the norm.

I don't know if it helps you Carlbcfc, but when I went to P4U a number of years back when I was still with Orange, they told me that if I upgraded with them I would not be able to keep the same number if I took out another Orange contract. They did say that I would be able to keep my number if I took out a contract with one of the other networks.

I am not sure why they couldn't keep my number if my contract remained with Orange, I would guess it is probably the same reason why you weren't able to do it with your Vodafone number.

Re: Attention Upgrades team

Hi carlbcfc,

Thanks for your posts! I’d love to help with this. :smileyhappy:

You can upgrade your number with Phones 4U within the last 50 days; however their commission structure favours new connections.

I’d love to see what we could offer you though we do need to wait until the phone is launched to get your tailored upgrade quote.

I’ve sent you a Private Message with details on how to contact us, once we reach your email we’ll be in touch to help.

You can find your PM inbox here.

Thanks

Amanda

Re: Attention Upgrades team

Disrespecting a fellow Vodafone forum participant is not going to make your point across any better! Not buying it from vodafone does not mean stealing. If I was the accused I would have reported you to forum police and demanded an apology

Re: Attention Upgrades team

Are the tech team able to give any kind of indication how their offers will line up against the preorder? I like the 2gb but have not a jot of interest in the 100 songs

Re: Attention Upgrades team

Hi kioksor,

We don’t have any indication as yet to the packages we’ll offer.

If you look through some of the threads, you’ll see that we’re normally able to offer some great value deals and I’d hope that we’ll do the same on the Galaxy S III.

If you’d like a call after launch day, please follow the instructions on the PM I’ve sent and we’ll be in touch.:smileytongue:

Thanks

Ian

Re: Attention Upgrades team

Thank you lan_c for your reply. I suppose everyone isnt the same and just because I had a bad experience does not make vodafone bad as a whole but for me just the one bad experience is enough. I have sent an email as instructed by yourgood self and would appreciate if someone from your team can call me back. I have pretty much made up my mind since I am due an upgrade since february but I would like to see whar can vodafone do as a last roll of the dice.

Regards

Re: Attention Upgrades team

I want to upgrade today (because I am not what you would consider a patient man) but my upgrade date is friday, thats 2 whole days away!!!!

I called 191 and cant get thru to a person grrrrrrr,I know if I go to the shop they will turn me away untill friday grrrr (wasted journey)

Can anybody offer any advise on what to do to pass the time,at the moment I am just walking round annoying people,if I lose my job this will in turn be bad for VF as I will not be able to afford my payments.

Re: Attention Upgrades team

Sit in a dark room with a towel over your head - its ony 48 hours and you will probably be asleep for 16 or so of them so really only 32 hours to get through.

Good luck!!

Re: Attention Upgrades team
