SD Card

I have just inserted a sd card from my blackberry to my S3 as wanted the pictures from my bb. How do I set my settings so that all my pictures and whatsapp messages save automatically onto my sd card?

Re: SD Card

When you open the Camera App it will detect the External Micro SD card and offer to save to that location.

As for Whatsapp, I' not sure but might be an option within the Apps settings?

Re: SD Card

You can use the File Manager App on the S3 to move the pictures to your External Micro SD card.

The Camera App will create a dcim folder on the Ext SD card if you choose to store photos there. Your other photos on the phone can be moved to this dcim folder too.

The Gallery App will then see all your Photos from one location.

Re: SD Card

You can also view the SD card Via your PC the what app message need to be changed or exported as a txt via the phone some how there is no way via android

Now i would of used a external card reader and backed to a pc then format the card first in the phone then move the stuff back manually via the data cable

Each phone and IOS does things in a Differant way and can cause problems later

Re: SD Card

I personally use the superb Solid Explorer which is free in the market. Its in "beta" status but I've never had it crash on me yet and it is probably the most full featured and nice looking file manager I've used this far on Android - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=pl.solidexplorer&feature=nav_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDM...

As explained already, you can pick the storage location from the default camera app as soon as you load it for the first time. Also you can just click on Settings (the cog icon on the top left) then keep scrolling down to Storage. Tap that to change it.

For Whatsapp there doesn't seem to be an option to make it save to the External Storage by default. You can move the files manually if wanted.
