Hi
I'm considering getting a S3 phone but would like to ask; does it take normal sized SIM cards or micro-size?
Can I play music purchased vis iTunes on it?
Many thanks.

Thank you for the quick reply. The SIM Card question was the more imoprtant of the two so I'll put your answer down as being the solvent. (Is that the right word to use? >.< )

I have had a BlackBarry and an iPhone 4 in the past on various networks but I am now considering the S3 as a refreshing change. I'm not sure how the S3 compares to the aforementioned, I guess it depends on who you ask, i.e., are they Apple, RIM, or Samsung fanboys >.<

Yeah, I have an S3.
Previously I had a Galaxy S 1, which was a fantastic Phone.
However the S3 is by far the best Phone I have used to date!
I tested the HTC One X a while ago and at the time that was the best phone available. The S3 is much better in my opinion!
I have spent the last two years installing custom Roms on my S1 trying to improve the look and feel.
I haven't felt the need to do anything to this Phone! All the tweaks and features are already there!

Yes you can play iTunes music on the S3 without converting any files.
As for Macs v PC - not getting close to that religious discussion!

Need to think now. Do I purchase a sim-free S3 from Amazon then stick my iPhone 4 micro-card into it and contiue my contract with 3UK, or do I just get a new contract with the same, or different network.

I use tunesync to sync music via wifi and 'android file transfer' app to move things via usb.
You can also use bluetooth to copy/move files.
Be aware that the music app on the S3 will not play copy protected files. So if you have bought a lot of music via itunes, they probably won't play on the S3. Your copies of the cd's should play though.

I have had no proplems with transferring my iTunes purchased music and playing it on my S3. In fact, even as I type this I am listening to the Incredible String Band from my iTunes library. ![]()

What is the reason for micro sized sim cards now?
That was one of my main dislikes (and Iphone bashing lines) about apple and now it seems that my beloved Galaxy range have followed suit!!!
I loved the fact that when I went on a lads holiday abroad or knew that the drink would be flowing I could quickly swap my sim into the missus' old HTC with a broken screen and not have to worry about it. Now what do I do?
Suds
P.s - If I order a sim free Gs3 from Amazon is it simply a case of asking Vodafone for an exchage of sim card? - I'm currently in a 12mnth sim only contract.
