Hi Turned my mobile on this morning and was asked to update my software, but I was just going out, so didn't have the time to say OK and had to cancel.

I am now trying to update the software, but I get a dialogue box saying that Access to the sofware update service is provided to users in the order in which they request it. Try later

So what now?

or Try Kies on a PC

Decided to use Kies. Its downloaded and everything and I am stuck on a dilague box that says the following Samsung USB driver for mobile phone .... (387/387) 100% but ther is a light blue circle with a darker blue line spinning round and I don't know if everything is completed. Anybody help please.

i disconnected and the android version shows as 4.04 is that the latest ?

No that is still ICS... The New one is 4.1.1

I had this on my old HTC when updating to ICS.  It only appeared for a day or so, then let me download with no problem.

The OTA is over subscribed it seems that because of the Kies mess up people are going down this route 

Plus for some reason its not been staggered 

Why can Samsung Not get anything right

Sounds like iut's time to give it a rest and maybe try again tomorrow.

can some1 help out on how to update to jelly bean as i go to settings an check 4 update an sez Access to the software update service is provided to users in the order in which they reqeust it.try agn later......so how do u do it over kiers air bcoz ive done that to over wifi and on pc an nothing comes up...HELP PLZZZZZ!!!

Uninstall Kies and then reinstall it...

If it tells you there is an Update for Kies DO NOT install it! (That is what is breaking Kies)

It should then work for you.

Yep Udating Kies is a No NO 

if it still fails repeat what soupdragon said but remove the Samsung folder in Programs (86) on your c:\ drive

You CAN NOT update via Kies Air!

You need to download Samsung Kies Software from their site

Install Kies but do not install any updates for Kies (They are causing an issue )

I've uninstalled it all and then reinstalled from the Samsunge website and it still needs to run another update...

I think I'll wait for it OTA or until I get home to a better internet connection...

No don't UPDATE you don't need to UPdate Kies to update your phone !!!

Click Cancel 

The Update kills connection with your phone

I uninstalled and reinstalled Kies this morning and had to do update before it would even tell me what firmware the device was running!

Did the update and firmware applied as normal.

Kies Should be showing that your Phone has an Update available?

Do you have a Vodafone branded Phone? This update is only for Phones bought from Vodafone directly.
