email and cracks on case

i am having 2 problems with the galaxy s3 i have had about 3 weeks the first and most important is that the plastic surrounding the screen has started to crack i haven't dropped it or anything and there is no reason for it to be cracking.

the second is every couple of days the email application notifies me of new emails and it appears to have redownloaded messages that have been left in my inbox both on the phone and online but it shows them as new messages again.

can anyone help with either of these issues

Re: email and cracks on case

The email is because it is still showing as unread in your online inbox

when you have read the message do a resync and it will show up again or it will clear it

as for the screen that is a strange one but it can be replaced but it would need to go into a samsung service centre for them to do as it glued down and not easy to replace

But this would be done under warrenty and if it is a problem they need to be aware of it

Worth giving the suggestion by Northern-dj a go to solve the email issue s this usually works.

Re: email and cracks on case

Mine developed a crack in exactly the same place this week.
Voda store said I'd have to send for repair, which I suspect will cost.
i contacted customer services who claim there is no problems with the phones.
just emailed Samy so will see what they say.

Re: email and cracks on case

I've had a similar issue with email which was old messeages reloading if I deleted them on the phone but hadn't set it to also delete them on the server.

As for the crack, the most likely explanation would be that the phone is getting twisted slightly when it's in your pocket.   The S3 is quite large and thin and, I suspect, not particularly strong structurally.   A case would help, if this is the issue (thought it won't repair the crack, obviously.   I suspect that you have more chance of a warranty repair from Samsung than VF.
