stock browser vodafone bookmarks

Tidying up my settings this morning!

Has anyone found a way of hiding or deleting the various Vodafone installed bookmarks?

Or am I best to just try another browser?

Don't think you can John. I tried but couldn't.

I use opera mobile and chrome.

Re: stock browser vodafone bookmarks

The Vodafone Bookmarks are sourced from the SIM card I believe. The Folder is called "Local" which would indicate Local to the Phone, i.e. installed!

If you look to the right hand side of the Bookmark screen you can see an Arrow. Tap on the Arrow and the Vodafone Bookmarks Collapse.

Yes, that works to largely hide them. Just need to ensure then that any bookmarks you add you remember to select a different folder to save them in.

Quite liking chrome though, so maybe I've moved on!

Re: stock browser vodafone bookmarks

When I set up my Samsung account, I think there was an option to Sync Bookmarks (did this on PC)

Now all my Bookmarks from my PC are in the Stock Browser under my Gmail account...?!!

Not too sure how I did this but might be worth looking at?

Google Chrome is very good!

Re: stock browser vodafone bookmarks

I couldn't delete it either and it's really anoying! I can't believe Vodafone has put loads of rubish in my bookmarks, inclusing Pizza Hut and they don't let me delete it. I tried to write to them and got a stupid reply exaplaining how to delete a bookmark, except that it doesn't delete...

I'll write to them again and keep writing forever until they solve this. By the way, I can't believe they put Pizza Hut in my bookmark... Does yours have it too?

Yep, got Pizza Hut! I eventually used thesoupdragons method. Use the little arrow to close the Local folder and make sure when you add a bookmark you add it to your gmail folder. Good luck getting a vodafone answer!
