s5 Lollipop update

Various issues with lollipop update.. phone unresponsive, lagging, messages and contacts stop working and disappear. Finally decided to phone vodafone after being on hold for 55 mins I was told to phone Samsung and they would sort it out. As Samsung was closed due to the length of time I was on hold I decided to check the tech guides only to find they day you cannot revert the software. So basically vodafone lied .. not happy. Phone is shocking... where does the liability lay?

Hi, have you tried a factory reset? That could solve your issues.

Yes thanks. I tried this after reading online. I backed up all my contacts and photos as per instructions and these failed to back up. So not only did the reset not work I lost everything on my phone.

After the update, did you do a factory reset?   It's generally recommended and clears out any bits of the old OS that are hanging round and confusing the system.   Don't forget to back up your content and make sure your contacts and calendar are fully sync'd first.
