Bluetooth connection problem

I have paired my Galaxy S6 Edge with both my laptop and tablet, but it will not share via bluetooth with either of them.  All devices are showing as visible, and all say paired, but the S6 says 'not connected' and will not send or receive via bluetooth.

What type of laptop?

Hi, :smileyhappy:   It's a Samsung laptop running Windows 7

@cabriole

Without seeing the options on the phone, it’ll be difficult to work out.

Have you tried pairing the other way? From the laptop to the phone?

Hi Wayne.....it was working previously,but intermittently, and sometimes if I sent a file from the laptop to the phone first it would then work both ways.  Ironically, this morning it worked first time from the phone to the laptop! Seems publicising the problem scared it into life :smileysurprised: I am still confused by the inconsistency and also the fact that although the three devices are showing as paired, on the S6 it says 'not connected'.  I will pop into the local store when I can and see what they say. Thanks for you help

The other way of transferring files, if you have a wifi connection, is to use an app such as Cheetah Mobile's File Manager or ES File Manager.  You'll also need a shared folder on your laptop that it can see.
