I'm switching to Android for the first time. What's the most painless way to transfer everything over?

The most important element of such a transfer is to ensure you are no longer hooked up to iMessage. Texts from other iPhones won't reach you until you are properly logged out of iMessage.

There are a couple of ways. On'es already been mentioned here, that is to use the Vodafone RED Box in one of the stores

Alternatively Samsung have a minisite dedicated full of guides on how to move all your content from other devices (including iOS). These are available on the Smart Switch website

It may be possible to transfer data from iphone to android using a Bluetooth connection. You can open phone Bluetooth ,then send and receive data over Bluetooth.
