*2767*4387264636# (To display product code)
*#272*imei#* (Display/change CSC code)

[ Edited ]

First of all go to keypad , enter *#272*imei#*(imei being your imei) and see what the CSC is, if it is anything other than XEU, change it to XEU, this will cause another factory wipe, it should show VOD I think, but you want to get away from that and onto XEU.

Edit: Darn it, too slow!!

What were who i only went to the bog well done there is only one thing left now and thats to change you device code but that can be done later now you have it. If you ever and i don't no why but download jp7 that is the vodafone 2.2 . Right get some sleep lol do a factory reset let ado28 tell you how to change the device code but you do need you imi code which is on your box. Kies will then look after the phone then. After all this please stay on 2.2.1 don't go mad with custom stuff enjoy you new phone. :-):-)

Re: 2.2.1... Where is it? Fobbed off by customer services

right guys, put in that code with my IMEI, and it said my sales code (or CSC?) was KOR, so i chose XEU and its rebooting the phone. hope this is the end of a very long battle... thanks guys for helping me through it! you're all very nice people!

Ok dominicsaul, that's good but you are not finished yet, you need to check product code as mentioned above, we need to make sure that is xeu as well.

Now back to my car, I renewed the front suspension and stripped the hubs off it last night and chapped the old bearings out as they were like me (rough) so need to get the new ones pressed back in as I have an AGM in Glasgow to attend at 12:30 lol. Better get a crack on lol

Re: 2.2.1... Where is it? Fobbed off by customer services

Or even a rom somert like

Darkeys bearing rom 1.0

Ado28 doing Normal stuff  bet he has forgotten what is on his phone.

It was deff a interesting night LOL another Vodafone user bites the dust Now if they wanted to stop this then

A. More info not excuses

B. Keep every one uptodate with what is going on

C. Stop the cloak and dagger stuff

D. Bloatware no one wants it

E. Stop wrecking the Android Name and what it stands for

F. Listen to there Customers ( Customer Service)

Dom was a prim example all we got was a excuse saying its the battery then all they did was left him so we had to help, I had to get help for my phone and Samsung had to pick up the peaces.

A customer has a problem Samsung tell him the fix and Vodafone are no help if it wasn't for us all on here what would Vodafone do

well Nothing plus there facebook team would have no were to parm people of on to.

Who is to Blame well Vodafone who forced there customers to do this well Vodafone Now we could all go back but why should we they even take apps off that are useful eg a Dictionary you no practical stuff this is why my wife did not go with them

she has a untouched HTC until Vodafone stop doing this i will not stop Leave phones alone Vodafone

Re: 2.2.1... Where is it? Fobbed off by customer services

NDJ is right, and there is a solution to this Vodafone, ditch the branding, ditch the Vodafone specific firmware, let everyone use the Samsung firmware, develop apps that people will want to buy, advertise them on your website, make them good and people will buy, and it is a huge market. A lot of the problems and anger that goes with it over this handset in this Forum has been down to the Vodafone firmware. As ado28 said - if there is a problem "ROOT IT OOT!!!"

Re: 2.2.1... Where is it? Fobbed off by customer services

guys! ive woken up today to, well it feels like a brand new phone! everything works, REALLY fast! ive changed my code thingy to XEU, does this mean that when update it will just update the samsung one, and not the Vodafone one? (in other words i dont have to worry that an update from voda will lock down my phone or anything, right?) also, will OTA updates be fine as well? all this reminds me of that joss stone song vodafone.... "you had me, you lost me, you're wasters, you cost me, i dont want you here, messing with my mind!"
