Now its snowing outside wondering about using my new Galaxy Nexus as a sledge - anyone got any experience of this?

Is it necessary to root?

Using a flexishield skin for my nexus - ideal surface and upward curve of screen just right, am slightly concerned about the fate of the microUSB port.

Vodafone - would this be covered on my warranty ?

I think this is is highly dubious at best as mine Nexus is the Prious of the phone world

I tried the Nexus as you suggested but managed to run down 3 kids and the parents because the SOUND STILL DOES NOT WORK!!!

Wow   - thesoupdragon and cash_13 have solved this one!  cash_13 were you insured through vodafone? (better check for damp damage) - more snow sandwich than ice cream sandwich (sorry couldn't resist that one) !

Looks like the snows with us for a few days so plenty of chance to experiment with Northern-dj's nexus snowboard
