Battery going?

At work last night, I powered down as the information bar would not scroll down. I could not get the phone back on, I get the lines rolling in a circle then an empty battery flashes up. The only way I could get it back up was by going to the car and connecting it to the charger.

I have powered down a few times now and it it happening 99% of the time. Is my battery faulty or could their be an other problem, keeping in mind how much I have messed with the handset recently. I haven't installed anything or made any changes since my exploits the other day.

You've gotta love this handset, it's like one of your kids, if it's not one thing it's another

Re: Battery going?

You need to calibrate your battery. This will solve it. You should always do this after flashing a new ROM

http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Galaxy-S/Calibrating-Battery/m-p/628097/highlight/true#

You need to be rooted and you need to install a terminal emulator from the market to do this.

Here is a link to rooting

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=788108

You need to download the appropriate files from the second post in this thread.

If you're running JP7 then use the JPO file

Follow the instructions, it should take only 20 secs to do.

You only need to read the first post! It has the instructions on how to root. Ignore the rest of the thread.

The list of downloads start in the first post and continue in the 2nd post. The download you need is the newest JPO one.

(assuming you're on JPO or JP7)

let me know how you get on.

Re: Battery going?

Relax!

When you installed the terminal on you phone and load it, does a dialogue box pop up stating that the terminal is requesting superuser access and asking you to allow it?
If not, are you sure you have actually rooted your phone??
