yeah Jim, really pleased with jvk so far ... it's sipping it's juice nice and slowly (5% in 1 hr 45 minutes, admittedly with low usage).

I think cwm version 4 is when it turned blue, like it like that, easy to read.
I wanted a frugal modem for when I am on my hols in a few days, so I don't need to take the extra battery, and i'm hopeful that the battery will last me all day. Must remember to turn the mobile data off on my hols, and look for wifi points, should I need to catch up anytime.
I will be taking my new kindle reader too (the one with 3G). Hopefully I will be able to use it's browser too in Spain.

Has anyone flashed Darkys 10.2 yet. I know its beta but still got to be worth a look.

Will be having a flash this weekend I think.

Just flashed Juwe 5.2 the other day with the Blue Ocean JVQ theme by Antonda and have to say it's very impressive!

Wireless connects immediately, bluetooth & GPS attach really quickly and the whole thing zips around superbly with no problems.

Will leave Darkyy alone for a month or so I reckon - very happy with this so far.

Crikey, I haven't checked in here for a while lol - I have stuck with 10.1EE since it's release and just really tinkered around with different apps and themes. I was completely consumed by flashing etc a couple of months back and I think it burned me out lol.

I assume some of you guys have been following the darky 10.2 threads on their site. I have read every single post and apart from getting a headache from most of the rubbish that people post, it certainly seems that my next flash will be very soon (probably in the morning).

Anyone tried Beta1/2/Grand Master(GM)? I am itching to try GM and have everything backed up with Ti ready - my head is telling me to wait until (probably) tomorrow for the 10.2 stable release but my heart is saying....."go on my son, you know you want to" lol

I just get a bit thrown by some of the conflicting advice on the darky thread - some people are saying (from 10.1EE) to flash to JVQ (Ficeto) base first, some say just to flash DC2.9 first and then install and some say to just ensure Wipe is checked in Darkyrom Configurator and flash away! I don't really have time this afternoon to unmess my phone if it doesn't go to plan first time round.

At least probably tomorrow there will be Joel's own advice on how best to flash the stable version.

Anyways, hope you guys are keeping well - I must admit it's nice to check back in. There were always some friendly 'faces' in this forum. And I did share my first Brown Trouser moment with you all!!!

Yes Darkys can be a strang thing to get ya head around, Basicky when you have a full version running and its fine all ways look in the stable version now in there there will be a like to down load the zip file and just use CWM to flash no thats the full version, Now they allways bring a light version out or a version that people usin odein can used Fiseto does them now this is mainly for Noobs to darkys 

Now there was the problem when JVO came out as it had a new boot loader so aot had to change, It will settle down 

I'm Hoping ADO28 comes back on he was our Darkys expert and he is so behind now lol

i have been using juwe's rom for some time now and i have found it to be the best at the moment.

I have been using:

F1 Galaxy S2 V6 for GT-I9000

It gives the look and feel of the Galaxy S2 onto your Original Galaxy S.

Very Stable, and uses the DarkCore Kernel. I have just updated to DarkCore 2.9.

It also has overscroll, BLN, and CRT-off.

All this done by a 14 year old!

Just found a problem with Juwe's 5.2; tethering errors.

If you're using Juwes, you might want to do the following before you find yourself stuck in a hotel room without internet access and want to connect your PC to your phone for internet access

1) Download from market a root explorer like application (File Expert for example)

2) Remount rewriteable /system directory (while your are in the /system directory go to Menu->More->Mount->Mount as Read Write)

3) Copy the file enable_netfilter from /res/scripts to /system/etc/init.d directory

4) Long touch to the enable_netfilter file and in the popup menu touch File Operations->Permission and check all the exec options.

5) Reboot your phone.

Flashed Darky 10.2 final this morning,so far so Very Good. Have to say with my history of flashing nightmares,I was really impressed with the speed and ease of flashing straight from the Darky app. All done in 5 mins!!!!

I think I will give 10.2 a go. I'm already using DarkCore 2.9 Kernel, so should be quite easy...

Oh dear... how wrong I was!

4 hours of trying to install Darky's 10.2. I tried all the different methods including going back to Froyo and starting from there.

It seems to install ok, then I keep geeting the Gmail App start with loads of garbled writing in it. Looks like an error report or something, but with no means of sending it. This happens every time I try to do anything!

Oh well, given up now and gone back to F1 Rom.

I lost it all after trying another theme, a JVQ theme aswell, but it still wouldn't have it. Fortunately I'd back up after setting up 10.2 so I was able to get it back through CWM

Hey guys... I need some advice,

I'm currently on CM7 and love it but recently all the updates seem to be spanking my battery. I'm thinking of trying out Darky's new Rom and wondered what people thought of it?

I used to be on Dark'ys roms before and always liked so it should be cool, I do think I might miss CM7 though,,,,
