Due for an upgrade

Hi,

I am due an upgrade from today. I currently have the Google Nexus 1 and would like to get the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. What is the best way to sort that?

Thanks

Paul.

Re: Due for an upgrade

Best way is to walk into Phones4U as you're more likely to get one there and then. Some Vodafone stores might also have one but I wouldn't upgrade over the phone/online as there appears to be no stock and no ETA on when they're back in

Re: Due for an upgrade

Thank you for the reply.

I had heard there were stock issues.

My colleague got one delivered on Tuesday, his upgrade date was 21/23 Decmber but I think he may have emailed Vodafone before that date but I'm sure he only ordered it on Monday once it had come in stock as Vodafone called him on Monday morning.

My concern really is whether I would be expected to shell out £150+ for the phone (something I'm not going to do) as stated on the website. I know othere people are getting it for free on 18 month contract extension.

Re: Due for an upgrade

I got mine beginning of December for free on upgrade after emailing the team on here. They were spot on. There are places online doing it for free but most are on 24 month contracts. I've gone for 18 this time

Hi Paulfa

Thanks for your post! I’d love to help with this. :smileyhappy:

I’ve sent you an email, if you could reply back with the details needed then we will be able to give you a call to sort out your upgrade.

Thanks

Amanda

Re: Due for an upgrade

EddyOS mentions trying Phones4U etc. Can you upgrade there when you hit the 90 day upgrade window or do you have to wait for your contarct to actually end?

That I don't know but they did give me money to cover the end of my previous contract when I moved over. Might be worth calling them and asking

All I know is they apparently have stock going by their website

Re: Due for an upgrade

Thanks. I've a CPW and P4U store within 5 mins walk of work so can pop in.

I've a call-back arranged with the Twitter team but if they can't guarantee a handset is on the way then I'll not be upgrading. By the time that some people get their phones the SG3 and others will be a few short weeks away and the GN may not be so shiny.
