*#*#44336#*#* - This code is a bit like *#1234# but it gives you the following: PDA, Phone, CSC, Build Date/Time, Changelist number of the ROM you have installed.
*#*#7594#*#* -This code can be used to change the "Power" button action on your phone. Be default, if you long press the button, it shows a screen asking you to select an option from Silent mode, flight mode, data mode, and Power off.
You can change this action using this code. You can enable direct power off on this button so you don't need to waste your time in selecting the option.
If you want to re-enable the menu, you can by entering the code again and tick box.

New Market 2.2.6!
Brand new Market interface. I have installed this apk file and can confirm that it works an absolute treat. Best to back up your current market apk anyway. The updater feature also works as I have updated my Tube mate app! ![]()

Hi VT
This is brilliant and better than the hints and tips thread we set up ourselves. I've unpinned ours and pinned this one, to make sure no Galaxy S owners miss it.

I only found this out the other day, had the phone for around 3 months!
To change the screen brightness easily, put you finger where the pull down bar is and keep it there instead of pulling down, after a couple of seconds you can move your finger from side to side to adjust the brightness.
Yeah I know most people will know this but some wont. ![]()

Hi folks, as you know in the froyo update samsung changed the camera so that geotagging was not enabled to be switched off, an item that irritated me, and we dont know if it will be changed if (or when) we get the gingerbread update.
If you want to get rid of this feature there is a hack which is quite easy to do, providing that you have rooted your phone.
This hack will take the geotagging away completely, there is not an on/off option (that I can find anyway)
The instructions are on this link : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=120
