Galaxy Y not receiving MMS

The title says it all, when i was trying to stop my apps from connecting to WAP as it was costing me extra,

I've done everything I can except for a factory reset. I've inputted the APN settings again and again all to my disappointment.

Please help, I'm lost now. :s

Re: Galaxy Y not receiving MMS

Hi shozzy

Can you tell us exactly what is happening?

Does the message fail to send to you?

Do you get any error messages your side?

What happens if you send yourself an MMS?

Please let me know and we’ll be happy to help you further

Thanks

Wayne

Re: Galaxy Y not receiving MMS

Hey ree,

Thanks for your post. Are you able to send MMS without issue?

What happens if you send yourself an MMS?

Does it show as sent or does it sit in your 'outbox'?

Do you receive the message that you've sent to yourself?

If you could let me know I'll be better placed to advise further.

Cheers,

Lee

Re: Galaxy Y not receiving MMS

I seem to be having the same problem too, not only for recieving but for sending mms. Ive tried sending the settings to my phone from the website and they've not seemed to have worked. When I try to send myself the mms its saying "sending" but it doesn't seem to be doing anything (when I pressed send it said something along the lines of "download unavailable"?!) and when I recieve an mms from otherts it's still just saying "downloading" but not doing anything. Anything else I could try? I've switched the phone off and on twice since the settings were sent to the phone. Thanks.

Re: Galaxy Y not receiving MMS

Hi themushrom1998,

Can you confirm that you got the settings by texting WEB to 40127? If not, can you try this for me so we can ensure the correct settings are in place on the device?

Next, can you try a hard reset of the device for me?

- Switch the handset on
- Whilst powered up, remove the SIM card and battery
- Put the battery back in and switch on
- Wait a couple of minutes, then remove the battery again
- Replace the SIM and battery and switch back on

Finally for now, are you receiving any link to download received MMS from, and have you been able to send or receive these in the past?

Dave
