Earlier post says second update is 70mb - if you're not on wireless then it'll take at least as long as it takes to download 70mb

"Settings/About Phone/System updates" should show whether the next stage is currently downloading or not?

the second update should come through straight away, have you tried switching to WiFi and or switching back to 3G to see if that helps?

My phone only seems to pickup and install updates if it's on WiFi........

Yellow160 I am on wireless, the system says" your system is currently up to date" i have rebooted many times, I have tried turning on and of the wireles as robmac said.

Thank you all for posting. So that we can investigate this further can anyone who's having difficulty updating please let me know whether your device is Vodafone branded or not?

If you're unsure, the best way to check is to check the APNs via Settings > Wireless and Networks > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names. If it's Vodafone Branded then you'll see separate APNs for prepay and postpay. If it's not Vodafone branded then you'll see a Vodafone ISP APN and an MMS APN.

Can you also clarify that you're definitely on version FRF91.

If anybody has tried entering *#*#CHECKIN#*#*, can you let me know if you saw a success message at the top of the screen? If yes, would you be able to let me know your IMEI number?

This information will help us to identify why the second stage of the update hasn't worked for everyone.

On FRF91, checked and it is Voda branded and no second update. 

Also Checkin didn't do anything, just said it succeeded. Is it ok to give out my IMEI on the forum? If so then I will give it to you.

Running FRF91, definitely a vodafone brand phone too.

Ran 'checkin' and I get the success message but not a snifter of an update.

Could you clarify how I find out my IMEI number?

Also, could anyone please confirm if this update finally allows us to run the new youtube app?

On the Vodafone build FRF91 had the first update and no sign of the second.

Running checkin completes successfully with the completion message being shown

IMEI is on it's was via PM. UPDATE: can't seem to PM you, do you not have it enabled?

Grimmy, you might have more luck getting people to join if you post in the Legend section of the forum.

Just to let you know its my old sig (from before they changed forum) but when trying to get into my account settings it errorsk, you will see it under this for example. 

I will get rid of it when the site starts behaving.

EDIT: Been in and cant even find signature settings any more, perhaps my account got broken as I can't see anyone else with one since the change. If a mod could have a look for me or direct me to the correct place to look in my eforum settings.

Anyway these things take time just wait.

Grimmy, You don't get access to signatures untill you reach a higher level on the board, one of the mods should be able to remove your current signature untill you reach the required level to edit it yourself.

Cinos21/grabham911, You can privatemessage somebody by clicking on their name, this takes you to their profile where there is a link to send private message.

Unfortunatly George doesn't seemt o have PM enabled.

George, Can you enable PM on your account OR let us know were/ who we can send our IMEI numbrs to?

If I could ask you all to email us using the contact us link, including 'EFT135 - Google Nexus One 2.2.1 update' in the subject field and provide us with the following information:

• Is your handset a Vodafone handset or open market variant?

(if open market there will be two APN's and one Vodafone ISP, if Vodafone there will be two APN's, one pre-pay, one post-pay and there will be no separate APN for MMS)

• Confirm for me which version you are trying to update from (FRF91 etc)
• IMEI
• Those that have checked in, can you confirm for me whether you get the checkin successful message?
• Whether you've checked in after receiving OTA #1
• Your eForum username
