Take out the battery for 30 seconds, replace and restart

Did you disconnect the USB lead before it had restarted fully?

Don't worry...

Just turn the phone off and start the process again.

Using Odin flash JPY

then connect to Kies and do the update.

After Kies has updated it can take upto 5 minutes for the phone to start fully.

DO NOT DISCONNECT THE PHONE!

Once the phone restarts and the Home screen is shown ONLY then disconnect the phone.

No i didn't i even had the message that the device was installed, haven,t even got to the kies stage yet lol.  I never panic with you guys at hand.

The double vibration is a force close, so something didn't install properly.

This is what Odin should look like...

Just follow the steps and reflash the phone.

This what it looked like after, it has just done it again.  \i left it plugged in vibrated once, then after about a min vibrated twice and the two lights came on

I have downloaded newer odin and d/l the jpy file again, i am trying from the start again.  All you sensible peeps have gone and left me  1 last go then i am throwing it up the wall and going to bed lol

Ok not a problem, we need to go backwards to go forwards.

It looks like your original Firmware was corrupt. May explain why Kies wouldn't update?

So Now we need to Flash JPU 2.2.1 which is a 3 file flash and also a pit file.

This will re-map the layout of the phones firmware correctly, and then the single file JPY will take properly.

I have been here flash as soup said the three file follow the screen shot to the letter

Its the Gingerbread bootloader its a pain to get rid of

The Vibration is both boot loaders trying to run

We need to get better coms on this

Leave your usb lead in until the phone comes from the dead

after it boots do a factory reset then repaet the jpy install

it will work this time

now with the time were on you may find kies might offer you the 2.3.6 (it may not its kies)
