Re: Nexus one predictive text not working

[ Edited ]

Here: http://shipped-roms.com/download.php?&model=Passion%20(Nexus%20One)&file=PASSIMG_Passion_Google_WWE_...

It will wipe your data though.

Download it, rename to passimg.zip and place on the root of the SD card. Turn phone off, hold vol- and turn on. Phone will find the file and ask if you want to update.

You'll probably find you get an OTA update to 2.3.5 after doing so, at some point.

Has the N1 been updated to 2.3.5? Thought that was just the NS...

Re: Nexus one predictive text not working

Dunno, I don't follow it's progress any more, I just assumed it would be as it got 2.3.3 and 2.3.4 at the same time as the NS.

Re: Nexus one predictive text not working

I so hope there's an update soon but all chatter seems to be about Nexus S

The recent GMail update has sucked up another few precious Mb of phone memory, the Google Music update won't fit ... gah!

Good evening DDC,

Many thanks for your post about predictive text on your Google Nexus One.

Tell me; did you factory reset the device after the update?

If not, could you give that a go for me and let me know how you get on? Details of how to do this can be found in our Nexus One Help Centre :smileywink:

Cheers,

Lee

Re: Nexus one predictive text not working

For this fault i should be allowed to use my warranty to claim a new phone as this is a phone fault that has hindered it defective from what it was originally.... so annoyed at this fault as i rely on my predictive text for a spell check and vodaphone and htc have been useless in helping to fix it...

Also i am pretty sure by law you guys should not be advertising the phone on your website as with predictive text as that is false advertisement..

Re: Nexus one predictive text not working

I took the risk.. and used a link rusty posted. battery and text issues all  sorted out. not sure what you did VODAFONE but next time dont mess with it! The one a member linked to works a treat. your OTA updates that you tinker with, are shall we say are useless.... Google put all the work in and you undo it. whos the bigger company? Do HP reconfiger Windows? no...
