As the title says, im abit confused as to whats happening with my smart stay geature as I am yet to see the little symbol telling me it has detected my eyes. I know it is definitely turned on, in fact, I think the screen may actually be staying on during videos etc but why is the symbol not showing?

Also, can we not have a designated note 2 section instead of it being mixed in the the first one?

Can I assume you know the smart-stay icon will flash every 30 seconds or so?

Do you also know the icon looks like an eye?

Are you using the feature in dimmed lighting conditions? I realise that's what it's designed for but in extreme circumstances it sometimes doesn't work on my S3 either.

Could you also let me know what your screen timeout setting is?

I'll ask about the separate forum. No promises though

We got this on the S3 Smart stay was a app that had alot of hype but when you get your phone its a app you will never notice 

This is how it works 

If your looking at your phone it keeps the screen on by passing the screen tme out 

No if your not looking at it directly after 30 secounds you will see a eye type logo flash  now if your time out is set Low eg 30 secound to 60 your screen time out will kick in 

and thats it 

To test set your screen time out to 30 secounds and look directly at your phone if the screen stays on then its working 

simple as that

Sorry for the late reply. ..

It seems that it actually is working, I thought the symbol stayed visable the whole time and that was why I didnt see it.
Following the advice above I changed the screen time out to 15 seconds and thats when I noticed the eye.
