Solution

Note 3 - Reverting back from Lollipop

Since the update to Lollipop, I have had constant bluetooth connection problems with my Pebble watch. I have done numerous factory resets, and even purchased another Pebble watch thinking that the watch was the problem. My phone keeps dropping the Bluetooth connection. I've tried all the advice I can find on the Internet.

I want to revert back to Android 4.x where I had no Bluetooth problems. Can you advise me on how to do this please?

Regards,

Nik

You will need to manually flash the firmware yourself.
This is a very easy simple process with a Samsung phone as long as you have not activated knox.

You can download the firmware and flashing software "Odin3" from the website sammobile dot com.

You can find a flashing tutorial on xda-developers dot com.
Just search for Note 3 flashing guide.

Thanks to you both!

Thanks (yet again) for the help TSD. I had read about Odin in my searches, but wasn't sure if it was the best way to do this.

Thankfully, I have not activated Knox.

Thanks again,

Nik

Downloading the firmware can take quite a while, so go off and do something else... 😉
The flashing process takes about 4 minutes... 😉

Just be sure to read and follow the instructions carefully. It might be worth printing them out, to use as a check list.

Good luck, let us know how you get on?
🙂

Ha ha, yes the download is slow! I actually downloaded the 4.4.2 Firmware last night from sammobile. It took two long hours. I didn't do anything with it, as I wasn't sure where to go from there.

Where I am currently failing is finding the download link for Odin on sammobile. Not sure if I'm having a dense moment, or if it's hidden.

Perhaps a cup of coffee will help.

Thanks again mate.

when you click on the Firmware version for your Phone it takes you to the download page.

Scroll to the bottom of the page and the link is there! :smileywink:

Thanks for pointing out the link, and the link to the download. I'll do some reading up on the process and give it a go tonight. Thanks again mate!
