Re: One annoyed customer..Dont like Lies!

Same problem; been waiting since Dec 15 and I'm not an early upgrade; I went for telesales as had the best offer within Vodafone; so far have paid for 21 days at a much higher rate for an upgrade phone I don't have; I was guaranteed 7-10 days delivery.  It appears Vodafone have stock but the stores are separate from the on-line who are separate from the telesales.  A bit of a mess really.  They sent a text today to say sorry for delay but they were working with Apple to get my order delivered as soon as possible!!!!!!  my order is VFUKMCT00616347    :smileysad:

Hi woodhorb

I’ve replied to your other post here as well but it looks like this one has more information (Order number) so I’ll pass this one to one of my colleagues who will be able to check your order number for you in the morning and hopefully give you an update.

Thanks

I really can not believe how some of you guys have been treated.

I was told I could upgrade early (4 weeks outside 6 months window) but was told to not place an order till the handset is in stock. I was also told that my handset would be in stock in 1-3 days lol

Well its nearly a month later now and my 6 month upgrade date is a week away. When this phone arrives in stock im not even guaranteed to get one because some of you have already placed a physical order.

I hope whatever the supply issue was will never happen again for the sake of all VF's customers. Communication to those poor people thrown infront of a telephone would benefit also. I was in contact with somebody from the directors office and all he said about the stock issue was, "we just dont know why". If that is not good enough for me then I am sure it is not for those of you who are already paying for a handset you have not received.

A week today is my upgrade date, if VF havent delivered the goods by then I will spend that Saturday finding the best deal from another provider (although I already have a very good idea). Then in the following months I will move the other 4 devices I have with VF to this chosen provider also.

Re: One annoyed customer..Dont like Lies!

As expected Phone was not there in Oxford shop. Phoned VF who could not even find on there system where the Oxford shop was!!!!! (even told him that it was in Cornmarket street) I got home and looked on their site and found it straight away.
Called VF after shop had closed, the woman told me that there will be no stock for the next 10 days also she has credited me with a months line rental, so the saga continues

Sorry to hear this for everyone but at least i'm not alone.

I actually went in store first and was offered the contract i wanted with the galaxy nexus for 'free'. The girl serving me went to their stock room and brought out a boxed nexus and sat it on the counter whilst she processed the upgrade.
She then said that the system was asking for £40 for the phone. The in store system apparently assesses me as an individual and then basically does what the hell it wants by the looks. The girl serving me took a guess at it being the fact i don't use many of the minutes i take on my contract every month. To me that is baffling in itself. Because VF makes money on my contract every month they want to screw me over by charging me for the upgrade i was just offered for free.

I walked away over the principle of the matter because it sounded ridiculous.

The assistant manager in another store found the same thing but processed the online upgrade for me and told me it would be in store within 2-4 days.

2 days later my tarrif has been updated to the new price and plan but my phone is out of stock.

Customer services tell me to go to the store that had stock and cancel my upgrade and upgrade with them in store. If they couldn't do the phone for free on the contract then they should speak to CS to get me the same deal.

Go to the store only to be told that they can't do that.

Call CS to complain. Get somebody who really wasn't interested. They apparently call the store who processed my upgrade who don't have any stock and the other store in my area doesn't either she said. How true that is I don't know. I was then told my phone would be sent out within a week. I tell the CS advisor that i want this complaint taking further and for somebody to look into why there is so much misinformation being handed out by CS and by the staff/system in store.

My complaint hasn't been taken any further. But then I shouldn't be surprised after what's happened already.

Very disappointed after being with VF for 5/6 years. Instead of offering me 'great deals' on things i can pay them for or this VIP stuff they could try rewarding loyal customers/VIPs with some customer service and accurate information.

Re: One annoyed customer..Dont like Lies!

Well it's now been 4 weeks or 28 days since I ordered my Galaxy Nexus on the telephone; I tried the VF chat on line to see if they could give me an update; after lots of investigations they came back and said it's out of stock; I knew that but the VF web site says Out of Stock buy now and you'll receive your phone in 1 - 2 weeks.  Now after 4 weeks VF can't even give me a delivery date but they are happily taking the money from day 1.  Now if VF said Out of Stock buy now and if your very lucky you may get a phone in 1 - 2 months maybe they wouldn't get so many new customers; so VF lies instead; that used to be called fraud in the good old days; looking at similiar forum messages it seems late January is a possible delivery date; at least CPW state that the phone is out of stock so can't be ordered at this time;a bit more honesty there.

Re: One annoyed customer..Dont like Lies!

Guys, I know this doesn't help now but why on earth would you wait this long when other shops have it in stock? It makes no sense at all!! The device is the same as the one Vodafone stock so there really is NO need to wait

Re: One annoyed customer..Dont like Lies!

Hi Guys, I ordered my upgrade online Jan 10th.. So I'm guessing I'll be on the long wait as well paying for a phone and contract I can't use yet.

I got an email saying "Sorry, We're still working on your order". I hate waiting for new phones.

online upgrade order number - o313943491.

Will keep you guys posted.

Re: One annoyed customer..Dont like Lies!

@ EddyOS

i think the main reason is the TCO of buying the phone (£500) + 18 sim free months line rental

versus

having the phone provided + 18 high months of line rental

is massively cheaper the 2nd way.

thanks

Re: One annoyed customer..Dont like Lies!

Hi Guys,

Unfortunately we currently don’t have any further details regarding the stock being delivered other than it should be here within the next couple of weeks.

Unfortunately I can’t give any exact dates when stock will be available as this could change depending on circumstances that are beyond our control.

When stock does arrive we will be completing the orders on a first come first service basis and will send an email notification when your phones are being dispatched.

James

Hi James,

I find it funny that there is no way for you guys to find out what is actually happeing with the stock situation other than saying it will be here in a couple of weeks (Which you guys have been saying for the past couple of weeks). For god sakes, your all employees of the same company aren't you?

On a side note: I will still wait for my phone to arrive.  I let you off the hook because I am getting a great deal (when I do get it) and that the phone is awesome. Two things that keep me with VF. But if the phone isn't in my hands by the end of the month.

I am seriously thinking about other networks out there. :smileywink:

Ash.

Re: One annoyed customer..Dont like Lies!

It really baffles me that Vodafone keep saying they can't tell us when stock is arriving.

The corner shop down the street knows when his deliveries are arriving and what's going to be on it. He doesn't just ring the dairy and ask them to send whatever amount of milk the dairy feels like selling him and then let them decide when they fancy getting round to delivering it. He sells x amount of milk per day and has his orders and deliveries scheduled to meet that demand.

I can't believe that an international company like vodafone phones a supplier like samsung and says "just send us 'some' of these phones when you feel like it". Surely you have delivery dates scheduled and know how much stock is arriving.

It won't be enough to meet the demand that's for sure. This magical 'end of the month' delivery will take care of the people waiting since December. Us January shoppers might as well try to work out the length of a piece of string. We'l have more luck with that than we're having speaking to Vodafone.

Re: One annoyed customer..Dont like Lies!

My next problem will be part of my upgrade is having my old phone on a `Buy Back` which will soon expire ,as it clearly states on the returns envelope only valid for 14 days ! somewhat beyond my control now as i`ve no phone to exchange ! come on Vodaphone pull your fingers out !!!!

Hello Cash_13,

Thanks for being our messenger to bring us the good news. I'm still waiting for the text saying your order has been despatched. But yes, I'm very very excited to get my hands on the nexus and ICS..

Hopefully I'll have my phone by end of the week.. Unless VF decide to screw up for no reason..

YAY!!!! :smileyhappy:

Re: One annoyed customer..Dont like Lies!

Like most people here I phoned to upgrade last year (Near the end of December) I went through everything with the guy on the phone and right at the end after everything was agreed I was told that the phone was out of stock, bit annoying but I was told that I would have the new phone within a week. I didn't mind waiting so said it was okay. Just over 3 weeks later I still have no phone, after emails and calls to Vodafone constantly being told "1-2 Weeks for new stock" I finally gave up and went to a Vodafone shop. I was then sent to another Vodafone shop (About 3/4 hour drive away) as they had the Nexus in stock and they could hopefully do a deal in store if they rang CS direct while I was there. First phone call to VF I was told that I couldn't pick up a phone in the store which is fair enough, so I was advised by the assistant manager in store to cancel the upgrade then take a new upgrade out in the shop, after 10 minutes on hold I was told that wasn't possible and that they couldn't give me a delivery date for the new phone so I ended the call. The manager advised me to phone back and say I was cancelling the upgrade full stop. So I phoned back again and within 5 minutes I was told that the phone was in stock and that it would be with me next day. What the hell is going on?! How can you have no stock then 5 minutes later when I phone up and say I'm cancelling the contract you magically find one?! Not a very happy customer at the minute. I shall be complaining for sure. Big thanks to the Manager of Bristol Vodafone though, he was very helpful!
