£36 a month was that?  If so then a good result. Just a shame it looks like they'll have run out by the time they get around to my callback :smileysad:

Ah! sorry that was. 36 per month deal. I don't think that will be hard to negotiate btw.

Love how half the people here have suddenly forgotten how unhappy with VF you were since this morning.

At least I walked when I said I was going to, lol.

They know how to retain a customer my left foot!

Re: Pre-order upgrade to Galaxy nexus?

Mine is on its way for the 5th. I may venture a 'woohoo!' at this stage.

Decent enough deal:

900 mins

Unlimited texts

750MB

Some sort of european data bundle (?)

Free Galaxy Nexus

£36 per month.

Oh, and possible £130 credit if I return my Galaxy S.

Anyone else looking to order, there were only 13 left when I phoned a few minutes ago.

Re: Pre-order upgrade to Galaxy nexus?

Just so you are aware, I already pointed out that I was in no hurry and ANY pre Christmas delivery suited me fine.

But WRT contacted me and tabled an offer I would not refuse to be "pig headed".

I included in my feedback that WRT need more wiggle room in their provision of information.

BTW, I also never had any actual agenda to walk. It would take a lot worse than a lack of info to make me go to another network. I've been with most of them *shudder*

Re: Pre-order upgrade to Galaxy nexus?

Well they seem to be done for the night now and no callback yet so thats a bit of a bugger.  I just hope the deal and some stock is still around in the morning and they can do a weekend delivery.

Re: Pre-order upgrade to Galaxy nexus?

Oh, I know. I will still openly criticise Vodafone any any company if I disagree with anything they do, but I can also recognise when a company gets it right.

I had resigned myself to 12th of December so the contact was better than I had expected.

But then, I am a fan of the Voda WRT as they are actually really good.

Still waiting on my "register interest" email regarding this....

Glad I walked, now to see if people have issues with the "fully tested" handsets

Re: Pre-order upgrade to Galaxy nexus?

How did you guys get in touch with the web relations team. I got a very rubbish deal from 191 which is on the way tomorrow 24month.. 900 mins 750 MB open zone whoever for £36 and i still had to pay £12 for the phone and £5 for delivery. I will like to call the web relations team to change this rubbish as i am not happy with it. Also the guy i spoke to on 191 didn't seem to care that i got a better deal else and was just being silly.

Re: Pre-order upgrade to Galaxy nexus?

My Galaxy S2 is going back to Vodafone tomorrow and I'll be getting a Nexus thanks to Amanda, same deal as everyone else, £36 a month over 18 months. I'm so glad I didn't go elsewhere. There was not a hope in hell I was going to hand over any cash to a company like Phones4U. If you're with them, good luck!

Re: Pre-order upgrade to Galaxy nexus?

Hey guys

managed to get an upgrade for £30 per month free phone, 600 mins, unlimited texts 500 mb and open zone, I had been messed about previously this month twice when trying to upgrade my phone, first i ordered a BBerry 9900 and didnt want it so I returned it but the posting of the phone got delayed by 3 weeks, then I told a woman on the phone I wanted a galaxy nexus and she put an order in for the nexus s would you believe!

anyway after a lot of complaining I squeezed out a £30 monthly line rental, if you guys are looking for the cheapest deal I would advise you to look at other third parties who are selling the phone online on contract because they will offer better prices such as £31 contract on 24 months..........should arrive tomorrow!

Re: Pre-order upgrade to Galaxy nexus?

Glad to hear this fsas180. Particularly that you took an 18 month contract.

In the meantime, for a laugh, I have to tell everyone here something that was just posted to my Facebook by someone who actually thinks they are technically minded!

I posted saying that I am getting the G-Nex tomorrow. Here is the reply

"You could have bought mine had it two days got rid. Nice bit of kit but doesn't run a lot of platforms flash player etc with it being a Google phone its hevey on Google based stuff ."

I replied

"You surely didn't return a phone because it didn't launch with Flash did you??? ICS is brand spanking new. The Flash player is out this very month, not to mention mobile flash being killed stone dead."

This was replied with

" No I didnt return it I sold it on , I didn't like the whole thing in all its nowhere as usable as the s2 and the camera and hardware even with the new tec just felt clunky to use. Also because its a Google operating system a lot of things that we use all the time on both our phones just don't work at all. It's got the same limitations as Apple and that's what I hate about the iPhone. It's a shame cause I think id not had the s2 i would probably have loved it. It also doesn't work with the Google back up so I couldn't sync data at all . In the last month this house has had so many new phones its insane I like the look of the razar but I think ill wait for a updated s series"

I really didn't know where to begin. It is not good because it has a Google OS, er... unlike the Galaxy S2... It has limitations like the iPhone and it can't do ... Google.... sync... and doesn't work with "the google backup".

I have no words...
