Im bored of waiting now, if i want getting a discount on the contract i would have cancelled and chnged to another network by now & Probably had the phone!

Its not so much the waiting that is the most frustrating part, Its that i cannot get an answer from anyone at vodafone to tell me when im likely to get it.

Also people ordering their phones days after i ordered mine are getting them next day! Can anyone explain to me how or why?

I am not willing to have the same fiasco as i had when i had to wait over a month for my desire when they came out.
I signed up for an upgrade to contract and phone, but without the phone whats the point.

Yeah that's exactly what happened to me last night. It's estimated to arrive between 6.30 and 7.30 today, so if it doesn't come I'll be ringing them up! At least it's not voda's fault this time, apart from maybe using a kack courier.

Where abouts do you live by the way, might be the same driver?

Apparently you can't get through without a calling card number which you cant get unless they actually attempt to deliver the parcel.

I called 191 about it yesterday and they said if it isnt hear today they will be speaking to DPD about it, but with all the road closures and stuff with the weather i might just wait it out.

Oh I will get through alright. I don't care if I have to speak to the CEO. I'm from West London so there is no excuse really. It's a next day service, so it should come next day! If it doesn't come today I'm going down to the depot tomorrow.

I've emailed the customer support team and recieved the following. 

"Unfortunately your order is temporarily out of stock and we are currently awaiting new stock, which we hoping to receive within the next 7-10 working days."

I was told that 7 days ago!

Can someone from VF please contact me otherwise I too will be cancelling my upgrade and going elsewhere.

Hi your situation sounds similar to mine.There is definately stock as I was just told they have 125! I would double check that you are not waiting for a Nexus S as I was!

Who did you speak to that said they have 125 in stock? I just received another email having gone back to them saying they have none and have no date for more stock to be delivered. 

As well as just being impatient, I also have real problems with my old phone which is on it's last legs. It's critical I have a working phone for work so it's getting very urgent for me now. Being told "maybe" 7-10 working days just isn't good enough.

It was a call I had from someone in the 'Guy Lawrence' team. The issue seams to be that dependant on how you order it. Upgrades, new purchases, online, telephone etc. all get allocated a certan amount from what I can tell.

I've not heard anything back at all, not since placing the order for the phone (when it clearly displayed some in stock), then i got a second email 30 seconds later telling me they were out of stock. I also got an email since then from vodafone promoting the new Nexus. Whats the point in advertising a phone they dont have in stock, and can't keep up with the demand they already have?

Yeah I think that it's clear all these depts have different stock from the way people have had very different experiences on this forum.

Interestingly I just got off the phone from 191 who told me they all use the same stock (obviously not the case) and it should be with me in a "few days". 

Funny how everyone you speak to tells you completely different things. Still tempted to cancel and go to O2 or Phones4U

I spoke to a support guy on the web chat last night and he was adamant the phone was in stock and that my perviously cancelled orders were due to a bug in the system that had now been fixed.

If it turns out he was making stuff up after I made him confirm the situation five or six times I won't be happy.  I even cancelled an order with o2 (placed out of frustration) for this one too!

Fingers crossed for this one!

I have it DPD delivered it on the final mintue of the time slot they gave me. Now, do I charge the phone up first before I play, or do I play then charge??

phoned 191 @ 2.30pm to ask (again) weather they had any stock going by some of the replies on here it does seem they have at least some somewhere, anyway nice lady this time said yep they have 68 left and promptly added a new line and phone to my account. Received text message 10 minutes after confirming order so all systems go for tomorrow at the moment. This is all after 3 calls in the last week which all said there was no stock and would call back once they found out when they was back in which no one did. The moral of the story is dont take no for a answer keep ringing them because clearly they receive deliveries daily. btw i am a business customer which clearly makes a difference to which stock is allocated to me.
