I made my upgrade order via 191 on Dec 1st, initially told 2 to 4 days for delivery, then an email saying out of stock after 3 days, then phoned 191 who said 7 to 10 days, then yesterday that they were getting a delivery of 1000 'sometime next week' but could not even suggest if I would be on the recipient list.
Am getting pretty fed up of the lack of quality information and the fact that many people on this thread have their phones when they ordered well after me!
Can someone from e support team please email me to let me know what is going on. Am seriously considering withdrawing from Vodafone due to the shocking customer service that I have recieved to date.

Despite having a phone on the way (it appears to be in DPD's hands now anyway) I did send an email to VF mentioning how badly this launch has been handled and how annoying/offputting this business of getting offered hugely contrasting deals from different sections of the same company is. Suffice to say they managed to totally miss the point of my email not once but twice.

I emailed WRT on the 3 Dec and still not had a call from anyone. Got them in store or upgrade online but I'm hoping they can offer me a better deal if they ever call me back !

Just had a call from Paul @ WRT. Upgrade all sorted now and phone should be here either tomorrow or Weds. Fingers crossed. No new plan, just continue current plan which suits me.![]()

Replied to the WRT email last Monday (5th) and still no call back. I know that they'rs "a small team that is very popular" right now, but that does make me question why their email auto-response states they will contact you within 48 hours. As people appear to be getting phones now I was hoping that I would have been contacted by now.

Me too, also on the afternoon of the 5th. Judging by their tweets yesterday eve they were catching up and were somewhere around 4th/5th. So I think/hope it'll be soon now.

I just got another email (maybe my 4th) saying thanks for my patience (I'm not being patient BTW) and saying the phone is still out of stock. Can someone from Vodafone PLEASE explain why nearly a MONTH after the official releae of this handset, VF still don't have any stock?
It's nearly 2 weeks since my upgrade was approved and I've lost count of the number of people on this forum who ordered after me and now have phones in their hands.
Am losing the will to live, as is my old phone....
Please VF, if you care one iota about customer service, then call me and explain how the above is possible? No really, I'm waiting....

I did this last week after aggravation trying to order the Nexus on-line, and receiving mixd messages from on-line advisers and telesales..
I received a phonecall from his office within 24hrs who sorted out my order, and had the handset delivered within 2 days!
It's unfortunate that we should have to resort to contacting CEO's directly to achieve a relatively simple task of ordering a bloody phone!!

Hi Guys
I have watched with interest all the goings on in this thread and wondered how Vodaphone could get people so worked up and angry about something as simple as a phone.
Well its finally happened to me and i am now totally sick and tierd of being fobbed off and given untruhs.
My desire contract ended november and fancied the Nexus as my next phone so
tweeted WRT end of november and expressed an interest. Ben got in touch and asked i email my details and when the phone was available would contact me.
They did that and all kudos to them - come the first week in December Amanda went through my details and made an offer (similar to others here) but it was more than i wanted to pay so i said thank you very much and i would look elswhere.
Contacted vodaphone and got my PAC code and found a deal that i wanted.
Last Monday a chappie from ( i think retentions ) contacted me and asked why i was leaving so i told him why. He then checked and offered me a better deal than before so i though ok i will go with that but they hadnt got any in stock but assured me there would be some next week (this week)
Come today my existing phone starts playing up so i thought i would contact Voda and see the state of play.
So i ring 191 go to retentions (or whatever) and ask the state of play and i was told that they are out of stock and no more would be forthcoming before christmas.
That is the final straw for me - i am quite patient and very rarely get wound up but the one thing i hate and that is being lied to deliberately.
I dont want to go to MD and complain and then be given a phone to shut me up - that would mean somebody else in line wouldnt get theres So i am leaving.
I dont suppose Voda will worry in the slightest but if they continue on this vein they will get their just reward and peole will leave in numbers.
I know my 2 phones wont make a difference to them but i hate being treated as a complete idiot and at this time i do feel i have been treated like one.
Sorry to have rambled one but at least i have got it off my chest.

I have the chance to early upgrade, and I don't want to submit the order just to get an email saying it's out of stock.

Received my call from the friendly WRT yesterday (thanks Paul). Got the upgrade as good as sorted but the handset isn't in stock and he couldn't tell when it would be - I'm promised a ring back to finalize the upgrade and shipping address etc. as soon as stock is in. Maybe you have more luck through other Vodafone channels, as I read that every department gets their own stock. Whether that's true or not I can't tell.

I was told yesterday they are in stock, But it was by one of these live chat reps, and they could just be fobbing me off.

I paid £75 to upgrade early yesterday. Phone up 'help'desk today and they had no idea at all when it would be in stock. Just said its a high demand product and gets delivered each week - but that means nothing as if there is 500 people waiting and only 20 handsets get delivered each week its a big wait! If they get 10,000 handsets delivered each week I would expect it in a couple of days.
Also I asked if I could cancel the upgrade and re-order at a later date, as no point paying £75 for an early upgrade if I can't get the phone early. In a few weeks the early upgrade fee should be less as I will be closer to the end of my contract. But no, that can't be done. I would have to wait for the phone to be delivered before it can be canceled.
So now my contract has already increased by £5 a month (happened instantely looking at my plan online) and I am looking at a £219 + £41 bill at the end of the month for a phone that I don't even have a deliverey date for.
Never known of a company that gives you an order number, but then gives you no way of looking at it. Or that sells you a product without warning you there could be a delay until after you have bought it - and then doesn't let you cancel the order!

Hi
I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the way my recent upgrade has been handled. On the 1st of December I went to a Vodafone store in Edinburgh and upgraded to a Samsung Galaxy Nexus phone. I told the man in store than I had severe issues with my current handset (an iPhone 3GS) which has problems holding battery charge and is also frequently crashing. He assured me I would receive my new handset within 5 days. I have been waiting ever since and still have no confirmed delivery date.
I have to date spoken to a "live chat" representative, called 191 and emailed customer support to be told completely different stories from each person on both expected delivery dates and stock allocations. I have also been following, with increasing bemusement, the stories from other irate customers on the Vodafone customer forums. In particular the forum "Pre-order upgrade to Galaxy nexus" has countless instances of people who upgraded at a later date than I did, and have received handsets long before me. There are also equal numbers of people in the same situation I am, who are also having problems getting their voices heard (do you read forums these by the way? You really should!)

I find it very hard to believe that a company of Vodafone's size and stature has this much trouble sourcing handsets. This phone is now a month past it's release date and there is no excuse to not be able to source stock.
Can someone please expedite my order or call me to confirm a delivery date. If this can't be done I should like to cancel my order and take my custom elsewhere.

Response from the Twitter team was :
"We ran out of stock yesterday and more is on order. You can upgrade to it though we wouldn't be able to dispatch the handset until we've received more stock"
Awaiting a response on the lead time of new stock. I'm not upgrading until I know I 'm going to get it. I'm not sitting on another price plan for 2 weeks, when my new phone still isnt in my hands.
